The village of Rebigue, through which the Way of St James passes, invites walkers to explore the Fount Grando fountain, the church dedicated to Saint Lizier, and the orientation point, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Pyrenees on a clear day. Comments: - Few shaded areas: this route is not recommended in hot weather - Dangerous junction with the D 95b road - Damp sections in the woodland - Several water points near the town hall Start: Rebigue Town Hall square. Cross the D95b road and take the Chemin de Croix Blanche opposite. Practical advice for horse riding and mountain biking: On horseback: tricky sections over 50 metres after point 5/, two leaning trees in the woodland and sections with railway sleepers: recommended for experienced riders with horses accustomed to trail riding. By mountain bike: after point 3/, there is a steep slope on the Chemin de Corronsac. From point 5/ onwards, there are wet sections on the track running alongside the Trucopores stream and on the path through the woodland. Take care when crossing roads.

Notes: - Botanical trail: steep slope, slippery in wet weather; this section is for walkers only. - Shaded section: 1.4 km trail through the Bois de Notre Dame. Starting point: Clermont-le-Fort hiking information board, located in the car park. Route variations for horse riders and mountain bikers: From the starting point to (1): Take the road running alongside the cemetery. At the crossroads, turn right onto the road leading down towards the Ariège (steep slope). 300 m further on, turn left (a hairpin bend) onto the path lined with a hedge. Between (6) and the finish (starting point): along the banks of the Ariège for 300 m). Turn left to head back up towards Clermont-le-Fort. At the junction, turn right onto the road leading to the Fort de Clermont-le-Fort. Practical advice: Horse riders: between (3) and (4), a section suitable for galloping, on a stony track (approx. 1.2 km) Mountain bikers: between (1) and (2), a woodland track (approx. 1.5 km) leading to the Oratory of Notre Dame des Bois; the track is fragile: ride slowly

This route is strongly discouraged in wet weather. A short loop with steep climbs. Notes: - You can start from the village of Pechbusque; begin the route description from point 3/ at the foot of the wayside cross; there is a car park on the village square, next to the school. - A steep, narrow descent for 200 metres after point 1/, which is slippery in wet weather. - Steep but shaded climbs after point 2/ and between point 3/ and the start. - Water points in Pechbusque in front of the school playground and behind the community hall. Start from Vieille-Toulouse: On the shaded village square, opposite the town hall (the former Borde Haute farm). Practical advice for mountain bikers: Numerous steep slopes; this loop is not recommended for inexperienced riders. At point 1/, there is a narrow path with a very steep gradient, which is slippery in wet weather – dismount and walk.

Comments: - Narrow pavements on Avenue de l’Aéropostale. - Dangerous junctions with the D35 road. - Narrow roads on the Chemin du Coustelas and Chemin de Saint-Jean. - Damp, shaded sections through the woodland. Starting point: the Comtesse’s dovecote car park, on Avenue de Suisse. Route changes for horse riders and mountain bikers: At point 2/, continue straight on below the garden to take the wide grassy track running parallel to the Chemin de Découvertes, then rejoin the route at point 3/. At point 4/, take the grassy path opposite, running along the edge of the field to the left of the stream, for 400 metres; at the entrance to the woodland, continue along the left-hand path which climbs into the woodland to reach point 5/. Practical advice for horse riders: Avenue de l’Aéropostale is a busy road. There is a narrow passage between posts at the end of the Chemin de Madame. A section suitable for galloping at point 4/, a grassy track for 400 metres. Take care at junctions.

At the end of the hike, you will discover the history of this picturesque village where wooden houses and brick architecture compete in elegance, as well as the architecture of the abbey-church redesigned by Viollet-Le-Duc. At lunchtime, a gourmet picnic awaits you, consisting only of local products: duck and black pork terrines, vegetarian tartines, melon, floc de Gascogne and craft beers, Côtes de Gascogne wine, apple juice, biscuits... The ferry that replaces a bridge connects the city center to the Parc du Confluent. This ferry allows you, in a few minutes, to cross the Garonne from one bank to the other. It is on a flat-bottomed boat, guided by a ferryman, that you will reach the Parc du Confluent, an island of greenery ideal for family walks.
