Description

Looking to get away from it all and learn about history? Need a breath of fresh air? Come discover this marvelous site—the only underground site open to visitors in Occitanie—and let a costumed guide take you on a unique journey into the heart of a place steeped in mystery and emotion.
It dates back to the Middle Ages; all that remains of Sicard Alaman’s 13th-century fortress are a few sections of wall. But the real story unfolds below, in the underground chambers of the Castella. Stretching 142 meters long and perfectly preserved, it features features rarely seen in the underground passages of other castles: living quarters, grain silos, water sources, lamp niches...

Come experience the magic of the Castella underground with the story of Jeanne La Faussaire—a tale full of wonder and adventure that you can’t experience anywhere else!

>>>>>> Other things to do and experience in the Castella underground during the Easter, All Saints’ Day, and summer breaks:

Come immerse yourself in the world of magic and the Little People with Dame Val’s storytelling walk. A guided tour specially designed for children and families. We’ll wrap up this adventure in style with a discovery of fantastical creatures and the legend of Jeanne La Faussaire’s treasure!
