The Clichy Bridge The picture shows a view of the bridge from the quay of Clichy (Clichy) with the two buildings framing the entrance of the Voltaire boulevard in Asnieres. While creating 'the Clichy Bridge', Van Gogh wrote: "I spoke to (Emile) Bernard about a sunset and a bridge. The bad weather prevented me from working at the site and I completely ruined it by trying to finish it at home. Return on your steps up to the bascule bridge, and if you wish, cross it to return you at the foot of the Stade de France. You will find on the spot the Space Welcome Tourism, not far from which saint Denis's historic route realized by 20 borders begins and joining the basilica cathedral. Couples in love stroll under the young Chestnut trees along the paths. He uses a free variation of the technique pointillists.They developed their compositions by paint dots. Van Gogh, in his way, applied small strokes of brushes in different directions. This helped him create the effect of a radiant spring day and the sense of intimacy he wanted to express. He had wanted to start a family, but he had impossible romantic relationships. The wall of I love you, is an inescapable place for the lovers of the whole world making an appointment in Paris. The wall, built on a surface of 40 m ², consists of 612 tiles in enamelled lava, on which bloom 311 " I love you ". The brightness of red color on the fresco are the pieces of a broken heart, a symbol of a humanity which tears and which the wall tends to gather. This monument unusual and dedicated to love is set up in a public garden of the place of Abbesses, on the butte Montmartre.

By creating 'The restaurant of the Sirène at Asnieres' Van Gogh was clearly influenced by the impressionist movement, and created his own style. Impressionists like Renoir preferred to show atmospheres and scenes from the inside of restaurants, while Van Gogh often portrays the outside, like this canvas. It uses bright colors, but also the luminosity of white paint to portray a summer day. In the foreground, three men sit at a table, one wears a blue shirt and a yellow straw hat, which suggests the presence of Paul Signac himself.

In 1885, Paul Signac, young self-taught painter, 22 years old, living in Asnières, meets Seurat, who dazzles him with his theories about Art and his technical knowledge. The new convert never stops painting the landscapes of his city in neo-impressionist style.

The museum of the romantic Life is installed in the house of the painter Ary Scheffer, built in 1830. Situated to Pigalle, in the district of New Athens, the museum reconstitutes a harmonious historic frame evoking the romantic time. The ground floor is dedicated to George Sand: portraits, furniture, and jewels of the XVIIth and XIXth centuries. On the first floor, the paintings of the painter Ary Scheffer are surrounded with works of his contemporaries.Two annual temporary exhibitions are organized as well as concerts, readings and animations for children. In the garden of the museum, the seasonal tearoom, real open haven of peace from March till October, allows to have a greedy gourmet break.

When he paints 'les chiffonniers' he is only nineteen years old, he is a very promising, clever, that presents gifts for drawing and writing. He began painting with Van Gogh, and receives a visit from Signac who noticed. Bernard deals with a modern subject : bridges adored by the impressionnists, but eliminating any picturesque character. He invented a new vision, where pictorial creation is more important than the subject represented.
