In the south-west of the Balcons du Dauphiné, between hills and ponds, Panossas stands out for its beautiful red hues, a phenomenon that can be explained by the rich iron content of the limestone, which is found in the various architectural features. Leaving from Saint-Marcel-Bel-Accueil, this loop takes you to the heights of the village for an immersive journey through nature and history. After a straightforward climb, the walk alternates between shaded and open areas, offering magnificent views of the local heritage and the Alps, which can be appreciated all the more from the orientation table set up along the way. The last part of the walk takes you through the village and its traditional houses, whose golden hues add a touch of charm to this escapade.

This partly shaded loop, starting from Saint-Hilaire-de-Brens, offers magnificent panoramic views over the Lac de Moras (private). You'll also discover a wealth of architectural features along the way, including châteaux and small water-related buildings (wash-houses, fountains, wells).

As far as heritage is concerned, you will pass by the castle of Montceau and the Chapels St-Joseph and Notre-Dame de la Salette (Cessieu).

This short and shaded loop invites you to contemplate the chapels Notre-Dame de Salette and St-Joseph as well as the beautiful panorama located at the second one. ROUTE From the Champ de Mars, you will reach the church of Cessieu. Step inside to admire the murals by Dutch artist Cor van Gelenken. Just behind the church stands the round clock tower. It is said to have played a protective role in medieval times. Follow the path up into the forest. After 400m, you'll see the Notre-Dame de Salette chapel on your left. Continue uphill to the St-Joseph chapel. Freshly restored, it overlooks the Bourbre valley. From the viewpoint indicator behind the chapel, you can contemplate the Monts du Lyonnais, the Vercors and the Chartreuse. After Croix de Fer, you pass through a number of hamlets and the Cessieu woods. The profile descends to Les Guerres and climbs back up to Les Communaux. The hike ends downhill on a small road lined with hedgerows. An orientation table located between the church and the soccer stadium details the landscape. Take rue de Ravette opposite the town hall and follow the path to the hamlet of La Mitagnière. You then reach the Etang de l'Enfer before entering the Tire-Gerbe forest. The forest path leads down to l'Enfer. At this point, you can extend the hike with a 1km round trip to discover the Etang de Gole, a sensitive natural area. Take a moment to observe the agile frog, dragonflies and great crested grebe. Its rich collection of 12th-century Romanesque frescoes are among the best-conserved examples yet they are perhaps the least known to the general public. An identical model of this exemplary church was produced by historians and exhibited around 1940 at the cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine at the Trocadero in Paris. As you enter the town from the Fusa gorges, you'll see a washhouse that dates from the very end of the 19th century. Its impressive dimensions make it the biggest washhouse in the region! It has a rectangular layout and a low brick wall built on limestone foundations. Because of its size, it is supported by twelve columns on each side along its length and four at each end, including two double columns in the corners. These bush-hammered limestone columns are topped with square capitals. This appears to be the only washhouse in Crémieu, as the River Vaux served this purpose when it used to flow below the ramparts.
