A varied itinerary with several lovely view points, with access towards Lac d'Annecy if you want to find somewhere for dinner or if you want to find a room at Menthon Saint Bernard. Reverse Clockwise From the Pré Vérel refuge, head for the Col des Nantets (1426m), leaving the right-hand valley leading to Montremont and heading for the Chalet de l'Aulps Riant below (1600m). You cross a long, wide-open mountain pasture. You'll see the Dents de Lanfon on your left, and leave the pasture to descend to Villard dessus and the Col de Bluffy, where you'll be staying. If this is not possible, other accommodation is available in Menthon Saint Bernard (480m). Allow an extra 30 minutes' walk and a climb of around 200 m the next morning.

During this family walk you will discover the hamlets of "Ramponnet" and "Les Moulins" and the grand castle of Menthon. Do not forget your camera, for there are many beautiful sights along this path : Lake Annecy, mountains... This path can be visited on foot or on mountain bike, all along the year : each season offers a different sight ! We nonetheless advise you wear good hiking shoes. Have a good trip !

This short hike allows you to discover the forest at the bottom of Semnoz and to have a wonderful view of the Annecy Lake. You will overlook the "big lake" and starting by the Duingt Castle on the peninsula you will see the "small lake". Path registered with the PDIPR (Departmental Plan for walking and hiking routes). By a short detour it also allows access to the animal park the "Grande Jeanne". Advice You will find public toilets at the start of this hike in the parking lot "Létraz". It is located along the departmental road RD 1508 in front of a small campsite. The lake is only about a 100 m from the parking. Why not make a detour to enjoy the view, the coolness of the water or to discover the new layout of the "Promenade des Borenges"… Recommendations Adapt your hike based on your physical abilities, weather conditions and road conditions. You are responsible for your own safety. Respect the private properties, close the gates behind you. Keep your dogs on a leash. Respect the natural spaces that you cross, do not leave your waste. Final stage marked by the crossing of Mont Veyrier's ridge, with panoramic views and landscapes to be enjoyed throughout the day's walking. From the Col de Bluffy, cross the departmental road to Les Périoz, and again the GR de Pays Tour du Lac d'Annecy, which rises quietly in the forest below Mont Baret. Pass under the rocks of the same name, the path makes a hairpin bend and climbs to the Col des Contrebandiers parking lot. Turn right again into the forest and rise quickly enough to reach the first rocky outcrops marking the arrival of the old Mont Veyrier cable-car station, of which there are no traces today. Descend to the place known as Le Petit Port, and arrive at the Impérial Palace parking lot.

Hike to one of the most famous lookouts on the lake and surrounding area. The loop takes you along a beautiful ridge route overlooking the famous limestone cliffs of Mont Veyrier, visible from Annecy. On this walk, you leave behind the shores of Lake Annecy and its soothing atmosphere. The magnificent ridge trail to the summit is well worth the effort: it's a challenging and sporting climb. Nevertheless, the shade of the pines and deciduous trees provides a pleasant coolness. These sometimes spread out to give a glimpse of the lake and its turquoise waters: a foretaste of the superb panoramas awaiting you at the summit. The ridge trail starts from the Col des Sauts: you follow the GRP Tour du lac d'Annecy. After a series of short climbs and descents, you'll come to Mont Veyrier, with its impressive sheer drop; Mont Baron, the highest point of the hike; and the old cable car, a vestige of the area's tourist popularity during the Belle Époque. This is the most beautiful panorama of the loop, with a breathtaking view of the lake and the Bauges on one side, and the Aravis mountains and Mont Blanc on the other. Two orientation tables allow you to discover or rediscover the surrounding peaks. The route continues down the Vallon des Contrebandiers, returning to the Annecy-le-Vieux marina via the heights of the village of Veyrier du Lac.

Summer season this hike will make you discover some panoramas of Lake Annecy and the old station of the cable car, while going through the Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron. This route can be hazardous in bad weather (heavy rain, frost, snow). It is a difficult and physical hike which will reward you with beautiful views over the lake, the Aravis range and Bauges Mountains... and the Mont Blanc.This stroll around the Lake is a must do ! The Col de Leschaux is an ideal pass for newcomers to alpine cycling, as it is relatively easy and very picturesque. The view across the Bauges Regional Park from the summit is especially beautiful. It could get you hooked on cycloclimbing! Gradient: 3.5%

This loop is of moderate difficulty and suitable for children. The trail runs mainly through the forest, making it pleasant on hot days. With a 10-minute round-trip detour, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Annecy. A loop trail marked by the department in collaboration with the Grand Annecy region and recommended by the Lake Annecy Tourist Office. The trail is clearly marked throughout (with signs and yellow arrows). Accessible year-round, weather permitting. The 11-kilometer Puisots Loop is located in the Semnoz Mountains and is part of the Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park. It overlooks the western shore of Lake Annecy. You’ll start the hike from the Annecy Tourist Office, but you can also park in the lot across from the restaurant “Les Terrasses du Lac” (on the road toward Mount Semnoz). You can also start from the Basilica of the Visitation. With a 10-minute round-trip detour, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Annecy and the mountains from the Cruet Cross. A sign on your left will point you in the right direction. When you arrive at Les Puisots, cross the road and follow the Chemin des Belvédères. At the end of the trail, you can stop at Parc de la Grande Jeanne to see some deer. This hike for average walkers is a good compromise between nature and rural heritage.
