For many years now, L'Impérial Palace has adopted an eco-responsible approach in all areas of its activity: rooms, catering with bio-waste collection, energy and water management, selective sorting of paper, plastic, crates, cardboard and coffee capsules; partnership with the Unisoap association for the recycling of soaps for humanitarian purposes, collection of corks for the Bouchons 74 association, use of environmentally-friendly products, etc.... At the hotel, an electric bike park enables guests to explore the city and tour the lake in a gentle way. The parking lot is also equipped with electric charging points for cars. The chef and his brigade offer seasonal and local produce, with an emphasis on short-distance travel. The wine list has been extended to include organic wines. This commitment to the planet earned the establishment the "Etiquette Environnementale" label in 2017. The Impérial Palace has also been awarded 3 leaves for the Charte de l'acteur engagé established by the Office de Tourisme du lac d'Annecy.
