This loop is of moderate difficulty and suitable for children. The trail runs mainly through the forest, making it pleasant on hot days. With a 10-minute round-trip detour, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Annecy.
A loop trail marked by the department in collaboration with the Grand Annecy region and recommended by the Lake Annecy Tourist Office. The trail is clearly marked throughout (with signs and yellow arrows). Accessible year-round, weather permitting.
The 11-kilometer Puisots Loop is located in the Semnoz Mountains and is part of the Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park. It overlooks the western shore of Lake Annecy.
You’ll start the hike from the Annecy Tourist Office, but you can also park in the lot across from the restaurant “Les Terrasses du Lac” (on the road toward Mount Semnoz).
You can also start from the Basilica of the Visitation.
With a 10-minute round-trip detour, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Annecy and the mountains from the Cruet Cross. A sign on your left will point you in the right direction.
When you arrive at Les Puisots, cross the road and follow the Chemin des Belvédères.
At the end of the trail, you can stop at Parc de la Grande Jeanne to see some deer.

- Snacks or a picnic
- Trail or hiking shoes
- No trash cans along the route
- Binoculars for the panoramic view
