As soon as summer arrives, the Marquisats grass beach is a spot highly-prized by the townspeople and holidaymakers alike.
From the start of school vacation through August 31 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.), lifeguards are on duty. Showers and restrooms are available. Light refreshments available on site. Just a short walk away, you’ll find sailing, canoeing, and rowing clubs. Easily accessible by bus and directly via the bike path.
Thanks to various accessibility features, this beach allows people with disabilities to move from the parking lot to the lake independently. The improvements made accommodate all types of disabilities:
- safe pathways
- audible markers and an “audioplage” totem to guide people with visual impairments
- accessible changing rooms
- amphibious wheelchairs (Hippocampe and Tiralo) and patient lifts available
- interactive wristband to request assistance and access the beach
The accessible beach is open from July 4 to August 31, 2026, daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Two seasonal staff members have been hired and trained to welcome visitors, explain how the inclusive beach operates, and assist with swimming when necessary. They can provide caregivers with a patient lift and issue interactive wristbands that allow people with visual impairments to activate audio prompts.
Free access.
