Mountain bike route "From Montsalvy to the Goul Valley”. Starting near the castle built on the ancient ramparts of the medieval village, this itinerary offers the opportunity to discover Montsalvy. This is an accessible and fairly easy route which offers beautiful panoramas, in particular that of the Puy de l'Arbre, which dominates this area from the top of its 830 m. This route will then offer mountain bikers beautiful views of the mountains and valleys, with several forest passages punctuating the route.

Start opposite the Place de la Mairie (near the sécadou, the chestnut dryer). More family-friendly and accessible than the ‘Mills of the Goul Valley’ trail, this path will give you a different perspective on Ladinhac's small-scale built and natural heritage. Hiking trail “Views over the River Lot”. Once a crossing point of the Lot on the way to Conques, the village has a fortified castle of medieval origin which was remodeled in the 15th century. The start of this walk is at Le Port, 3.5 km from the village, which was once the departure point for the boats that transported the chestnut wood used to make the Bordeaux barrels. Lapeyrugue is located South East of the Veinazès natural region, on the foothills of the Southern Châtaigneraie. The village is built on a crest and at the beginning of a path leading to the Goul valley overhanging it.

Overlooking the village of Montsalvy, Mount Puy de l'Arbre offers a magnificent natural observatory stretching from the Mounts of Cantal to the Rouergue, passing through the Aubrac Plateau. Near the toposcope, a granite stele reminds us that in 1798, Jean-Baptiste Delambre and Pierre Méchain measured here an arc section of the Paris meridian between Dunkirk and Barcelona. This arc measurement served as the basis for the original definition of the metre. This stele is therefore a survey marker. Picnic tables.

In the square, note the wrought-iron cross depicting the various instruments of the Passion. Although the date inscribed on the granite base is 1800, the cross was actually made in 1750 and hidden during the revolutionary turmoil. It was made by Jean de Séguy, provost from 1745 to 1776. The statue of the Virgin Mary in a red sandstone niche (probably reused) on the façade, rebuilt in the 18th century, is a reminder that the church is dedicated to Notre-Dame de l'Assomption. However, the cult of St Bernard, the monastery's first abbot, quickly developed in the hearts of the first Montsalvy residents. This popular beatification, accepted by the ecclesiastical authorities, led to the dedication of a chapel in the church in 1258. St Bernard is therefore considered the patron saint of the parish (celebrated on the Sunday following 11 October). In the church, discover the exceptional polychrome wooden Christ, listed as a historic monument, the 20th-century ciborium (or baldachin) installed in the Romanesque choir, the shrines containing the relics of St Gausbert and Saint Bernard and two of the four boundary crosses: the cross of St Anne and the cross of Cambon. An adjoining vaulted room houses the Treasure of Sacred Art, a collection of priestly objects from the various churches of the St Joseph en Veinazès parish.

A medieval town founded in the 11th century by the monk Gausbert, who established a sauveté surrounded by 4 crosses, which guaranteed ecclesiastical immunity to those who took refuge there. Montsalvy, a Petite Cité de Caractère® almost a thousand years old, has retained the austere atmosphere of those ancient fortified villages, huddled in on themselves and still imbued with their medieval splendour.

The Waterfall of Vachand can be found to the east of the village of Ladinhac, near the Moulin de Vachand. The best way to discover this site is to take the hiking trail proposed from Ladinhac "Des moulins à la vallée du Goul".

The history of tungsten mining on the slopes of the River Goul. A miner’s daughter tells you how the villages of Leucamp and Teissières-lès-Bouliès lived, for nearly 50 years, to the rhythm of the mine’s work. Models, photographs and objects staged illustrate the story, from the discovery of the ore in 1910 to the abandonment of mining in 1959. Open every day all year round.

Launched in spring 2023, the Leucamp walking trail is a reminder of the past existence of an industrial activity that is hard to imagine in these parts, where nature has reclaimed its rights in such a beautiful way: mining.

Ladinhac takes great care with its heritage, and this is something that strikes you straight away when you approach the village. Far from giving the impression of being stuck in the past, museified, this coquetry seems to infuse the village with a balance between tradition and modern rural life.

L’Auberge Fleurie is a charming Cantal stopover in the area of the River Lot and the River Truyère, at an altitude of 800 m. A good fairy seems to have bent over this inn, which offers an enthusiastic table where terroir and modernity go hand in hand! The inn also has a remarkable wine cellar. The chef's menu consists of a choice of two starters, a choice of two main courses and a choice of two desserts. The menu changes every 2 weeks according to the season and her inspiration.
