This is a tour that is done in two days on a path, both wooded and steep, along part of the river Hers, borrowing the old railway line through the Orris Castle Roquefixade.

This walk offers an impressive view over the valley of Hers, overlooking the village of Bélesta .

This lovely hike is in a beautiful pine forest that extends over 1,000 ha to Sault plateau . Composed of conifers, it is one of the most beautiful of the Ariege.

GR 7a from Lesparrou to Montsegur Castle borrows the Cathar trail through the Cross of Morenci. Shrine Neolithic, you can make out a pile of very white and cracked blocks on a pedestal of dark rocks.

Very nice hike along the banks of Hers whose industrial activity which draws energy from the water was to the craftsmanship of the horn comb and once that jet.

Path from Peyrat which leads to the hamlet of Mireval or "mira-valh" which means in Occitan "look at the valley". Until the mid-nineteenth century, Le Peyrat was an industrial center specialized in the manufacture of horn comb and leather goods.

This route round - trip allows you to progress in the parade the throats of Frau until the town of Comus (Aude). 3km high, hers dug into the mountain a veritable canyon of 400m meters high.

This beautiful route along the totally secure greenway lined with old stations and several tunnels lead you to Montbel lake with splendid views of points and a breathtaking panorama.

This historic trail steep and wooded, was for centuries the only route directly connecting the town of Lavelanet at Montsegur Castle once used by the Cathars . Seen impregnable Castle.

The walk along the ridges allows you to have a panoramic view of the town of Lavelanet and Laroque d'Olmes . Following the ridges of Coulassou of Soula and Raissac you arrive at a place called “Fajane” near Gréoulou. Your tour ends along the greenway before returning to your starting point.

One can, without fear of being accused of exaggeration, describe Fontestorbes as "Wonder of the World" and contrary to the seven wonders of the ancient world, all having in common to be the fact of the man, Fontestorbes is the only fruit of the chance of nature. A rare phenomenon and really extraordinary. For most of the year (7 to 9 months), the fountain runs constantly. On the other hand, during periods of low water from July to September, one day, it becomes abruptly intermittent over a complete cycle of about 60 to 90 minutes.

Discovery of an exceptional natural environment At an altitude of 850 m, this chasm is about 60m by 30m and is accessible thanks to a platform of vision for a visit in full safety. It is the abyss of both absorption and collapse. The total depth reaches about 110m. This hole was a mass grave. When the horses were at the end of their life, their owner took them to this chasm. We guess then why this hole was prized crows.

The fountain, once the place of processions and altars, was the village centre of old Mireval which was, according to memory, in a valley where tiles and carved stone was found.

The name of this hamlet comes from the occitan mira valh meaning "look at the valley".

On this neck that leads to the hamlet of Morenci was an enigmatic cross on which were roughly carved in high relief a face and below the number 8. Below the inscription 1780 seemed to be added. On this Neolithic site one can suppose that this cross had been carved in a megalith carved previously.

This huge sandstone rock is so named because of the carved stone disk at its top (Fougasse means fouace in Occitan). A channel defines the disk whose diameter is about one meter. A small cup is dug in its center. This is undoubtedly a solar representation associated with a local cult. The stone itself could have served as an altar for animal sacrifices.
