Stage Peyruis - Lurs (20 km - 560m D+ / 410m D-) : A legendary stage that crosses the Ganagobie plateau and its ancient village built at the northern end. Passage to the Notre-Dame Monastery and its 72th century chapel with its superb mosaics, it is the largest pavement of this type in France (72m²).

Ce circuit court mais sportif amène à admirer les montagnes environnantes (Montagne de la Baume). Les marnes sont un beau terrain de jeu où la végétation tente faire face aux conditions arides. Sur la dernière portion, l'itinéraire longe de très beaux champs de lavande. Depuis Entrepierres, le circuit démarre par un passage sur l'aire de détente du boulodrome. Rejoindre la route menant à la Crypte du Prieuré. Une piste et une route menant à Vilhosc permettent de s'echauffer progressivement. Le parcours se poursuit par un sentier sur des marnes vallonnées. Déjà quelques points de vue s’offrent aux vététistes en bordure de forêt. Il est temps de profiter du relief des marnes qui permettent de prendre de la vitesse et de faire quelques jumps. Rejoindre le hameau des Pignets ou le parcours part en direction de la piste du Pied du Bois. Rejoindre les parcours 10, 12 et VTTAE. A un prochain croisement, prendre à droite la courte montée (au kilomètre 6,2) sur sentier vallonné et ombragé. Une dernière descente permet de retrouver la route. Cette dernière longe des champs de lavandes ainsi que la crypte du Prieuré, avant de rejoindre la route du départ.

Following the GR part (St-Jacques de Compostelle way) this quite easy trail will makes you brisk into the Jabron valley before returning to the departure point and the St Domnin chapel. From the chapel, take path on your right (GR markings). Go down the valley until the junction with the road at the Gournias bridge. Turn right on the road and follow the yellow markings alternating between a track and a tarred road. Once Chantemerle reached, go up on the rocky track on your right and reach the road again a few meters further. Follow the departmental road D 53 for 1 km. At Thor neighbourhood, weave while following the markings heading to the departure point.

Ce circuit de 16 km passe au pied du Rocher de la Baume et offre de beaux panoramas sur le Sisteronais. Sa principale difficulté technique se situe au niveau du détroit et lors de la descente de la Baume. Au départ de l'office de tourisme de Sisteron, suivre l'itinéraire des Chemins du Soleil en passant par la ville et au plan d'eau. Le parcours emprunte le pont de la Durance, passe au pied du rocher de la Baume et suit la route historique de Napoléon (très belle vue sur la ville et la vallée). Une montée sur piste mène jusqu'à Entrepierres. Après le village, prendre à gauche en direction du vieil Entrepierres pour enchaîner par une monotrace se nommant "le detroit" (possibilité de rester sur la petite route, plus facile). Rouler ensuite jusqu'au col de Mézien (814 m). Terminer à l'ubac de la Baume avec un joli sentier qui ramène dans Sisteron en majeure partie par le chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (prudence en descente, randonneurs pédestres sur cet itinéraire).

The Molard ridge offers many outlooks on the Sisteronais, the Jabron and the Buëch. The Ecrins and Dévoluy summits can be seen during your walk. Take the departmental road D 53 on the left for about 50 meters. Go behind the police station and take the hairpin bends track going up into the Molard’s forest massif (GR markings). On your way, the botanical trail offers many interpretations. At the aerial, leave the going down rocky track and completely bend on your right towards the ascending track. Overpass the hut and the viewpoint indicator and go straight on the path leading to the Molard. At the Molard, go up the path towards the Rocher du Turc and the Mairie pass. Reach the ridge overlooked by oaks and box trees. Go on straight on the ridge and overpass the Rocher du Turc heading to the Mairie pass. A few meters further, the ridge transforms into a long descent through pine trees. At the « Col de la Mairie » - the Mairie pass – signpost, turn right on a path leading to Sisteron (yellow markings). At the forest exit, cross the marls and turn right once the junction with the track reached. At the junction with a tarred road – called Chemin de la Marquise – turn right and follow the road towards Sisteron.

This hike will make you discover the Massif of the Molard and its rich fauna and flora. Known as the « green lung » of Sisteron, the Molard has however lived hard time through centuries due to a lack of forestation. This hike begins just behind the police station (“gendarmerie”), not too far from the road sign « Montée du Molard ». Few meters after the beginning of the path, you’ll pass by a playground. Follow the path which will lead you to the botanical trail. The trail meanders up for about one kilometer (with a net climb? of 200 meters). All along the footpath, take time to watch and read the descriptive signs about the different tree species. After 35 minutes walk, you’ll arrive to an intersection with a high communication antenna. Two options are possible : Or you continue to the « Plateau de Thor ». Or you could go on walking towards the orientation table. After a 10 minutes walk, you’ll pass by the forest cabin and arrive to the Molard’s orientation table, which shows you the different surrounding summits. From this platform, you could admire a 360° panoramic view over the Sisteronais Valley, the villages of Laragne-Montéglin and Ribiers and also over the Durance Canal, which flows gently to the South. This promontory would be a perfect place for a picnic time with several tables and trashbins. After this break, continue your hike by following the trail. Along the path, panels will describe you the living creatures that you could meet during your hike and their place in the forest ecosystem. After a few hundred meters, while the GR 6 continues on the mountain ridge of the Molard, take the footpath on your right at the signpost “Le Molard”. Arriving to a small platform, you have two possibilities : you could go down by the forest track to the « Chemin de la Marquise » and reach the city center, after a 500 meters walk. The other way would be to walk back the trail to go back to your departure point.

Ce circuit rapide et accessible à tous permet de découvrir les vallées du Buëch et de la Durance qui façonnent les paysages du Sisteronais. La fin de la randonnée arrive aux abords de la citadelle de Sisteron, un patrimoine exceptionnel des Alpes de Haute Provence qui domine fièrement la ville de Sisteron. Quitter la place de la République et prendre la direction du chemin de la Marquise. Rouler sur cette petite route directement au cœur de la campagne entre prairies et boisements. Après environ 3 km dans le vallon, prendre le sentier pierreux sur la droite. Alternance entre forêts et milieux plus ouverts, avant de rejoindre la route. Une belle vue se dégage sur les vallées du Buëch et de la Durance. Par temps dégagé, le massif du Dévoluy est visible lui aussi. Continuer tout droit pour gagner ensuite les contreforts de la Citadelle de Sisteron. Redescendre ensuite dans le centre-ville pour rejoindre le point de départ.

Au printemps, cet itinéraire est plein de nuances avec le bleu des crocus, le vert des chênes et le jaune des fleurs des genêts. Des crêtes de la Montagne du Molard, véritable frontière entre deux vallées, la descente dans la vallée du Jabron par le bois de la Bûche offre le meilleur des parfums et paysages de Haute-Provence. Derrière la gendarmerie, emprunter le sentier d’interprétation qui monte dans le bois du Molard. Au niveau de l’antenne, délaisser la piste qui descend et par la piste qui monte, rejoindre la table d’orientation. De la Table d’Orientation, continuer tout droit sur le sentier en sous-bois de chênes en direction du Col de la Mairie. Au Molard, poursuivre en direction du Col de la Mairie alternant crêtes aériennes et forêts de chênes. Au Rocher du Turc, s’infléchir à gauche en direction de Chantemerle suivant le balisage jaune. Le sentier descend franchement en direction de la vallée du Jabron, puis rejoint une piste qui passe à proximité de deux fermes, poursuivant la descente vers la vallée. Continuer sur la piste, puis, dans un virage après quelques maisons, quitter la piste afin de retrouver un sentier. Traverser un cours et poursuivre sur le sentier. Immédiatement, s’infléchir tout à fait à gauche sur le sentier qui grimpe dans les marnes. Poursuivre sur le chemin qui jouxte tour à tour chênes centenaires et anciens murs écroulés. Au niveau du champ, suivant le balisage, s’engouffrer à l’aide du sentier bien visible à travers le maquis que dressent les genêts d’Espagne. Tourner à gauche dans ces genêts, afin de retrouver la piste qui s’engage en bordure des vergers. La piste laisse place à un chemin goudronnée, cerné par les champs tantôt cultivés, tantôt en berne. Au lieu-dit « Chantemerle », poursuivre sur la route jusqu’à Sisteron.

The descent is by a long track to the plateau of La Rouvière where there are lavender fields. Departure from Volonne, parking next to the bridge. The departure is shared with route n°12 (La Fubie) to the Trois Bastides then continue straight towards the Hameau des Broumas. After having toured the Tigne massif, you will descend via an easy track to the Rouvière plateau where there are lavender fields (flowering June/July). Return via a small technical balcony path to the heart of the village.

For more than 40 years we have been making cosmetics and soap made in a cauldron just like Marseille soap. The harvest of olives is done manually with hand and automatic combs to preserve olives quality. Then, we proceed to the grinding of the fruit with a simple mechanical method, without the addition of chemicals or change in temperature. At the end of the grinding, we get an extra virgin olive oil with a free acidity lower than 0.8%. Our mill produces a local extra virgin olive oil. Our olive oil is peppery and refreshing which is specific to the aglandau olives (90%). Nearly 400 olive growers bring their olives to supply you with: - Green fruity olive oil - Local olive oil All our products are available at our shop and online shop: olive oil, homemade products, Marseille soaps… We also make basil, mint and lemon oils. Volonne is a little village of 1 700 inhabitants at the foot of a rocky spur overhung by two towers. Volonne is also called the "little Nice of the Alps" because of its sunny exposition facing the south-west. In this small valley, this humpback beam bridge over the River Vançon reflects the life of yesteryear. A mediaeval construction from the 14th century, the bridge gave access to the village of Saint-Symphorien. Queen Joan, Countess of Provence and Queen of Naples in the 14th century, is thought to have given it to the residents of the village as thanks for offering her refuge when she was accused of the murder of her husband, Andrew of Hungary (King of Naples).

The Escale dam was filled with water in 1960, and today it is full to 80% with Durance silt, which has resulted in it becoming overgrown with reed-beds and riparian vegetation, thus creating a marvellous environment for avifauna.

It is through our exchanges that we wish to share moments of well-being with you. Here, you will find a calm and restful place in the middle of a natural setting. The valley of Thoard is set back from the main tourist routes, which allows it to keep its authenticity. We buy from local producers, breeders and shops, to offer you quality products in our campsite. This way, we favour short supply chain, limiting our environmental impact as much as possible.
