From Fontanès to Caveirac, you pass orchards and olive groves, vineyards and meadows, with hills covered in holm oaks and pine forests and dense garrigue. You'll see manades (bull farms) and, just before Sommières, a splendid panorama of the Pic Saint-Loup. From here, you can access a number of villages and tourist sites in the Pays de Sommières. Unlike a cycle path, which is reserved exclusively for cyclists, a voie verte is a facility reserved for non-motorized traffic: bicycles, pedestrians, rollerbladers and sometimes horseback riders.
