This trail offers various landscapes including the banks of the river Save and the Carayon woods.

Start: municipal stadium car park, route de Saiguède, D53B Walk up the path beside the tennis court, then turn left and follow the path (GR86) towards the lake (heading west). Leave the dyke on your left and walk along the lake for about 1km. At the end of the lake, go straight on for about 200m, leave the GR86 and take the path on the left that leads down to the ruisseau de Saint Thomas (south), which you can ford or cross on a new footbridge. When you reach the road, turn left and walk for about 500m, then at the bend in the road at the bottom of a small rise, take the path on the left that overlooks the lake as far as the dyke. Leave the dam on your left and continue along the tarmac track to the D53b road. Turn right and follow the GR86 as far as the village, signposted "le Circuit du lac du Parayré". After 300m, turn left onto "le chemin du Barrat" for 500m. Follow the red and white GR86 signs. When you reach the village, follow the lane to the junction with the D632, admire the well and take the main road to the right: view of the market hall and the church of Ste Foy, cross the D632, pass the market hall, the pond and reach the water tower to take the circuit of the Lac de Parayre.

The gentle terrain keeps the pace pleasant, allowing you to contemplate the scenery and observe the local flora and fauna. There are a number of points of interest along the way. The route passes near the Verdier memorial, a discreet and moving place of remembrance, then leads to the Chappe telegraph tower, witness to the first long-distance communications network in French history. The Croix Saint-Dominique, nestling in the heart of the forest, is a peaceful place to stop for a break or a few photos. This trail is ideal for a sporty outing with family or friends, looking for a moment of disconnection close to nature, while discovering the historical heritage of the Bouconne forest.

This natural Voie Verte runs from Toulouse to L'isle Jourdain. It's a beautiful forest path that runs through the Bouconne national forest, 20km west of Toulouse, and provides a peaceful link to the Isle Jourdain lake. You can set off from Toulouse from Les Amidonniers via Blagnac and then follow the Voie Verte alongside the Airbus route (distance: 20km), then cross the Bouconne forest and head towards Mondonville, Lévignac and finally L'Isle Jourdain. We suggest starting from Mondonville. You can cross the forest using the existing mountain bike trails or go via Lévignac. This path, with its smooth gravel surface, is located in the middle of the woods, in the shade. It's an easy all-weather route for the whole family, with dirt paths in the forest that are ideal for mountain biking. There are plenty of walkers, but early in the morning you may spot deer and wild boar.

A hike starting from the car park in the hamlet of En Garre, not far from Grenade, to discover nature in complete tranquillity. At Coustète, take the track on the left and when you reach the D87, turn left and then immediately right towards the hamlet of Aubinels. At the bottom of the hamlet, turn right, then left across the fields to the curtain of trees bordering the river Save. Turn right and then right again for 1.4km to reach the hamlet of En Garre via the Save valley. Go up into the hamlet and through it to come out on the D87. Turn right for 40m, then left on the rising road. At the house on the right, "Le Prieur", take the dirt track opposite for 1 km. At the crossroads, turn right onto the Chemin de Bramayre basse. Continue to the next crossroads. Go back down to the right along the chemin de l'Avocat. Here you will pass an old barn belonging to Grandselve Abbey. At the road, turn right for 50m, then left through the fields. At the flagpole, go straight ahead and then take the same path as before.
