A family stroll along the water of the Pas des Ondes, true "oasis” of the Baronnies Provençales. By being parked in the Pas des Ondes car park (parking and access to the water body in July and August are not free), return to the entrance gate of the site. Take the bank path between the Oule river and the lake : The starting point of the theme trail "Faune aquatique du Pas des Ondes" is located there. Follow this flat path for 600 meters to the end of the second lake and pass to the left of the educational pond. 1- Shortly after the two fishing pontoons, facing the hill surmounted by the ruins of the castle, take the small path that goes up the slope. After a turn on the left, the path leads to another path: take a right on this new path crossing towards the river, down to a road. Take a left on the path which turns into a path and join the bank of the river to a pebble beach. 2- Turn back and join the previous intersection. 3- Follow straight on the flat path between the river and the treatment plant and return to the educational pond. 4- Continue the tour of the water bodies along the banks by the flat road or the path through the grass that can be seen near the shores of water bodies.

A hike for good walkers, tomeet the traces of the rural and pastoral life of the Mountain Bugee. From the parking lot of the Croix de Bodon, turn right onto the tarmac road to Bodon Abbey, 250m away. After the abbey, go past the roadside house and take the paved road up towards the top of the plateau. 1 - Go up on the winding tar path to the highest farm where the small road turns into a dirt road. Follow this path for 2km to reach the lavender field at the top of the plateau. The signpost of Col de Saint-May is located 30m east of the lavender field. 2 - At the Col de Saint-May (975m) take the first trail to the right descending in ubac towards "Rémuzat" by the "Ravine du Col". (Be careful shortly after departure, passing overhanging and sloping on the side of amarl!) Follow the path along the creek until you come to a path that you follow to the left. Cross the little brook to go up steeply on a road that you leave in the first turn to take a path on the right that passes in front of the ruins of an old farm with a linden planted in front. Continue up the trail, past another ruin on the way to the Col de Pensier (1002m), which you will reach a little further. 3 - Go down the wide trail to reach the valley of Léoux and reach the road after a farm. At the bridge, do not cross the creek, turn left along the river. In the turn that leads to a farm, turn right and follow the trail which gradually rises above the stream until losing it and join a house at the place "Bergerie de la Botte". Stay behind the house, continue along the trail which slopes to the left, change slopes, and join the shoulder of themountain in front. 4 - Upon arriving on the ridge, leave the path for a path down left on the south flank. The trail joins the small road from Saint-May to the Plateau Saint-Laurent. Climb back up and rejoin the starting point.

This short bike route is perfect for an outing late in the morning. It leads you to one of the most beautiful natural sites in the lower valley of Oule : "Le Pas des Ondes". An easy and pleasant way to discover the road bike in a natural setting. Ideal season : all year.

A particulary eye-catching path which offers a panoramic view on Le Rosanais and L’Oule valleys. La crête de Raton is a very privileged place where chamois can be observed. It is a quite athletic trail but it is worth the effort ! The Raton’s hamlet (716 meters) where rapid streams water flows into is located at the south of the dell. It is also the place where the Baudon river starts and it is related to the Eygues river. From the hamlet, take the left path and start a long climb up. This path was the old access to those houses which are only ruins now. Once the Replat reached (921 meters), go on the path until the end of it and then take an enjoyable way which climbs up into a bank and reach a small ridge. It brings you to the pastures of Staton. When Staton’s – pronouced ‘’ Taton ‘’ by locals – sheepfold can be seen, go straight forward. On your way, the coolness of a spring can be felt near the ruins and the pass. At the pass (1124 meters), take the acsending path leading to the right side of Gravières mountain. It is a path with a lot of small stones. The path leads to the Pas de la Pousterle situated at 1364 meters high. - In Occitan, ‘’Pousterle’’ means a small door or a hunting station. – Reach the ridge and continue on the right side of it. From La Sapie (1497 meters), follow the track of « la passière de la Sapie ». The panoramic view offers a wonderful north sight on Saint-Romans mountain, the village and the ruins of Pommerol. The left path is hard to see – an information board is near the path. – There are a few stairs to walk down, be careful of the roots, the slope is quite steep. Then, an easier path leads to la Fromagère pass (stay on the main route.). At la Fromagère pass (1091 meters), take the path on your right and follow right away the left one leading to « Le Grand Béal ». At the signpost (781 meters), reach the track and turn left towards Raton to go back to the departure point.

Itinéraire agréable en aller-retour sur une piste forestière, jusqu'au sommet du Fourchat. Culminant à 1571 m d’altitude, ce sommet offre un panorama à 360° sur les Baronnies Provençales. Au col de Pommerol, prendre la piste située sur la droite en arrivant de Rosans. Après 1,5 km la piste se transforme en sentier et longe la crête jusqu’au sommet. Une fois au sommet il y a possibilité de continuer sur la crête. Le retour au point de départ se fait par le même chemin. 

« Le chemin du facteur » – The Postman round – has a very long rise, some ridges to go through and beautiful panoramic views. A variant of this hiking also exists through Le Fourchat ascent. From Rosans’ place, take the road leading to the Pommerol pass and then take the second right turn towards the barracks. Once the barracks overtaken and the dead end reached, take the path on your right. Pass in front of the Calvary overwhelming the village to go to the ridge. Cross a track (1018 meters) and hike until the summit of le Suquet (1098 meters) is reached. After this, there is an easier climb to reach the Counière pass (1117 meters). Go on the path leading to Pertus’ ridge. From Pertus’ ridge, a return trip to the Fourchat summit (1563 meters) is possible by following the track on the right. – The return trip is about 2,6 km and 260 meters slope – Then go on the main track on the left until the Pommerol pass. At the Pommerol pass, go down the road and take the 1st path on your left leading to Rosans called « chemin du facteur ». On your right, reach and follow the hairpin bend of a wide track for 60 meters and then take the path on the left. Start walking on a flat path and go down the slope crossing some other tracks. The path goes down to Rosans. Reach the crossroads above the village and go back to the departure point by hiking the same route.

Along a family walk, discover the village and the surrounding man-made agricultural landscape, in the middle of arid marl lands. On the way, a stopoff is possible to the lake (« Plan d’eau ») and at the playground. On the west side of the Square, towards the petanque field, take the street called « rue du Temple » and pass over the Townhall. Take on the right the « Passage des Tilleuls », go on for about 20 meters, then take the patch along the old rounded wall, in front of you. Go on to the Chapel Saint-Gabriel. Reach and cross over the road D 994. Continue on the small road in front of you. On the right, there will be the playground and the lake « Plan d’eau ». After a sharp turn on your right, go on the patch towards the intersection after the stream. Turn left and go up the patch until you reach the departemental road D 994. Turn right, walk along the road, cross it at the crosswalk, in front of the funtain located on the small square. At the end of the small place, take the little patch along the left bank of the Estang stream, which brings you to a hairpin bend on the road. Walk up for about 30 meters, then turn straight on the right and climb up to the grazing until you reach a patch. Turn straight on your left and reach the road. Walk down the road to the departure point.

Chemin utilisé jusqu'en 1925 pour porter le courrier de Rosans à Sainte-Marie-de-Rosans ! Entre chênes, pins et buis, découverte du col de la Fromagère-Pommerol, du hameau de Raton et du patrimoine du village ensoleillé de Rosans. De la place de Rosans, prendre la direction du Col de Pommerol, puis la 2ème à droite vers la caserne des pompiers. Dépasser la caserne et, en haut de l'impasse, prendre le sentier de gauche (l'ancien chemin du facteur). Le sentier coupe plusieurs pistes. Le suivre toujours en face. Rejoindre une large piste et la remonter pour récupérer la suite du sentier dans l'épingle. Au bout du sentier, atteindre le col de Pommerol en suivant la route sur la droite. Au col, emprunter le sentier à gauche et, 25 m plus loin, prendre de nouveau à gauche. Le sentier redescend dans le Grand Béal, vers le hameau de Raton. À la piste de Raton, prendre à gauche pour rejoindre le hameau. Au hameau de Raton (720 m) continuer tout droit, sur la longue piste vers Rosans. 30 m après un carrefour, emprunter un chemin à droite qui descend sur une crête. Longer ensuite des marnes pour rejoindre le torrent de Pigerolles. À la route, un passage à gauche dans le torrent vous permet de la traverser par en-dessous. Atteindre la base de loisirs qui se situe de l'autre côté après avoir longé une prairie. Elle vous offrira le réconfort de la baignade après une bonne randonnée. Continuer en prenant la sortie à gauche, puis, à la jonction avec la D 994, traverser et emprunter le sentier qui passe à côté de la Chapelle Saint Gabriel pour regagner le village.

Circuit sportif et amusant pour découvrir la forêt domaniale de l’Eygues et profiter d’une fin de parcours dynamique, dominant la vallée du Rosannais. Au départ de la place de Rosans, prendre la route qui monte à droite de l’église. Il faut rapidement prendre une piste pour monter au col de l’Archimbaou (environ 6km de piste pierreuse). En haut du col (1084m), au milieu des forêts de pins noirs, poursuivre sur des pistes qui descendent légèrement sur la face Est du Serre de l’Aigle. Un sentier sur la gauche, permet de quitter la piste pendant quelques mètres, avant de reprendre une petite ascension sur piste. Laisser la piste partir sur votre gauche et s’engager sur le sentier à droite. Un passage en sous-bois très roulant permet de rejoindre une portion de piste herbeuse en direction du col de l’Archimbaou. Au niveau de ce dernier, bifurquer à gauche sur un très beau single track dans la pinais. Déboucher sur une piste pour la dernière partie montante. En haut de la crête, emprunter le sentier pierreux descendant, roulant et très joueur. Le paysage est très dégagé et permet une belle vue sur toute la vallée de Rosans. Il est également possible d’apercevoir le Mont Ventoux par temps dégagé. Le sentier s’achève sur la route qui remonte dans le centre de Rosans

Cette boucle cyclotouristique de 60 km emmène dans le Rosanais. Elle permet la découverte de la sauvage vallée de l’Oule grâce au célèbre col des Tourettes, une des plus hautes routes des Baronnies Provençales (1126 m d’altitude). Elle regagne ensuite Rosans par l’immanquable Col de la Fromagère. Depuis Rosans, descendre la rue Aristide Briand pour rejoindre la route de Gap et la suivre jusqu'au prochain carrefour. Emprunter la D 949 jusqu'à Montjay en passant par Saint-André-de-Rosans. A Montjay, suivre la D 226 et passer le col de Serre Larobe (1014 m) pour rejoindre l'axe Serres/Rosans. Au carrefour, emprunter la D 994 sur 2 km jusqu'à l'intersection avec la D 26. Entreprendre l'ascension du col des Tourettes (avec une pente à 7 % de moyenne). Suivre la D 26 jusqu'à La Charce. A la Charce, prendre la D 338 puis D 25 pour revenir à Rosans et sa place de l'Abbé Bicais.

Traditional oil mill in the Drôme (south of France). L’Huilerie Richard is a family business of millers and peddlers, passed down from father to son for 5 generations now. L’Huilerie Richard was founded in 1885, in Mollans-sur-Ouvèze in Drôme. My great-grandfather, Henry Richard, made his own olive oil in his mill and then, with the help of his cart and his mule, he went to sell his olive oil, olive and soap production from farm to farm by peddling. Today, the traditions of peddling, local olive oil production and blended olive oils are kept alive in my beautiful French department of Drôme. In the north, in Montoison, we produce walnut oil, hazelnut oil and rapeseed oil. In the south, in Nyons, we produce PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) Nyons olive oil. Due to their good integration into the natural site of Pas des Ondes, these two water bodies do not necessarily show that they are actually artificial. Developed in the 90s to support local tourism development, the site of Pas des Ondes has since been an oasis particularly popular in the summer season. The smallest of the water bodies is intended for swimming while the largest is reserved for fishing.

The hydraulic system of the bathing water of the Pas des Ondes reconstitutes a natural scheme of operation thanks to its settling basin where circulates the water that comes from the Oule with a flow rate of 30 L / s. The purpose of this pond is to filter and capture the fine particles of silt in suspension to limit the turbidity of the water and to keep a maximum of clarity for swimming. Once past the swimming lake, the water flows into the fishing pond before returning to the Oule.

Between the banks of the river and those of the lakes, the gray heron and the Martin fisherman each have their hunting stations while the Black Milan occupies the role of the cleaner by recovering the corpses of fish and amphibians. The water bodies also host several species of remarkable birds for the region, in staging areas such as the Knights Cul-blanc and Guignette, the Northern Shoveler or Garganey and exceptionally the Osprey.

The fish fauna of the lake was introduced during the creation of lakes in the 90s. Among these non-endemic fish in the environment are carp, roach, tench and rainbow trout, introduced to promote recreational fishing. The most representative species is the carp but we also find the Chevesne and the Common Perch (only predator). Two fishing pontoons are set up on site, including one for people with reduced mobility.

The Cornillon-sur-l'Oule castle is one of the most impressive testimonies of the Provencal comtal power which controlled, between the 13th and the 15th century, a set of seigniories in the Oule valley, called the "claverie de l'Oule". The dimensions of the sides of its triangular enclosure are 44, 30 and 51 meters. To the east and below the castle stood the medieval village of Cornillon which only a portion of the northern wall that meets the castle is still visible.

These ruins are the last visible remains of the several farms of this side of Buègue, gradually abandoned since the end of the 19th century. The L-shaped building, frames a courtyard bounded by a wall to the south. On the ground floor, it gathered several spaces devoted to animals: A sheepfold for goats and sheeps, a stable for horses, a "pourcieu" for pigs. On the first floor, a part was reserved for living, while the other one was devoted to storing the hay.

Above the road towards the Bugeue ridge, a wood of old oaks with crooked trunks, was used to feed the flocks. Young twigs were regularly cut to feed the animals with the leaves of the trees. With each cut and each regrowth of these branches, the scars of the wood formed balls that the bark would overlay little by little. These trees are called "tadpole oaks" (with a head) because of their very specific shape.

The former sheepfold of La Botte is one of the most visible scenery markers of the pastoral activity which reigned on the mountain of Buègue until the post-war period. Now rehabilitated as a dwelling, the building was built with the slope: The level offset made it a ground floor destined to the animals and a first floor devoted to the hay. On the other hand, the sheepfold had been positioned on a sunny slope and near a creek.

The Saint-Laurent chapel is one of the remains of the church of the priory of Bodon. Originally from an abbey founded in the 6th century by a holy monk named Mary or May, in the 12th century, this priory controlled forty churches located between La Motte-Chalancon, Lemps and Sainte-Jalle, and was then attached to the abbey of Ile-Barbe, in Lyon. This small chapel was located in the southern apse of the church of which there are vestiges (private property, forbidden access).

Located at Rosans’ north-west, Raton’s mountain offers a 360° panoramic view from it’s ridge. This mountain oriented east-west divides the Rosanais valley from L’Oule valley. It’s shape is caracteristic from the Jurassic period. The north side (ubac) is a rock slide area including a fir trees wood in the upper part and a pine trees one beneath this area. On the summit of the south side (adret) greenery is lacking a lot. There barely is some grass. Lower, an area of box trees, broom flowers and oaks grows. Torrents makes the mountain’s side craggy.

Set on the outdoor terrace with views of the Baronnies Provençales, or in the privacy of the vaulted room, you will enjoy a cuisine based on local products at the campsite restaurant (in the evening on reservation). The holiday village is closed because it is undergoing a major renovation and revitalisation project. The aim is to offer facilities that meet the new expectations of holidaymakers while integrating environmental needs and regional tourism. Comfortable and functional flats : 1 lounge/kitchen (rustic furniture, stove with oven, fridge), 2 bedrooms (5 beds), 1 bathroom with shower, 1 terrace facing south, electric heating. The 10 000 m² terrain is entirely closed, wooded and flowery. Playground for children. Table tennis tables. Library, board games. 3 big barbecues.

Its Saracen tower offers a remarkable point of view on the Rosanais. This middle mountain territory offers you various possibilities. Many walks, hikes, on foot or by bike, but also discovery of the surroundings, fauna and flora. You will also be able to refresh yourself with the water of Pigerolles, at the entrance of our village, without forgetting our market of the soil of Sunday morning.
