Discover the Maures mountain range on a mountain bike and enjoy the sensations. From the Croix d'Anselme car park, enjoy a 1 km descent on the RD 14, surrounded by chestnut trees. At the intersection, turn right towards Col des Fourches Gonfaron. At the arrow post "Vallon de Rascas" take the direction of Valescure and prepare your calves to start the climb for about 10 km until the arrow post "Cros de Mouton". On arrival take the direction of La Garde-Freinet, continue for 1 km and turn right at the intersection towards Capelude. Hilly climb for 700 m on a sandy track until you reach the top of Le Défens. Here, take the time to stop and enjoy the panoramic view of the whole Collobrières forest and the sea. Enjoy the next 8 km of descent on a partly dirt and partly stony track surrounded by typical Mediterranean vegetation. On the way you can stop at the Treps reservoir, where picnic tables are available for a break. You can also admire the Chartreuse de la Verne in the distance. At the end of this descent, you will arrive on the RD 14, which you will have to climb for 400m to join the path on the left on the dirt roadside, which will take you to the ascent of the Chartreuse de la Verne on a trail of about 9.5 km with no difficulties or obstacles. On arrival you can visit the monument and enjoy the view towards the Maures massif. Then, follow the arrow post "Chartreuse 1" located at the entrance of the monument towards Plateau Lambert through the undergrowth. This shaded single is relatively technical with some passages on less important stones. Then take the Ragusse track on your right to enjoy a descent on a stony track for about 7 km. Remember to descend below the trail to admire the cedar forest about 2 km from the arrow post. Be careful, this is a very technical trail with a steep descent and a lot of vegetation for experienced mountain bikers. Tip: leave your mountain bike at the top of the track and walk the trail. At the end of this descent, when you reach a small ford, take the RD to the left for 400m and then to the left on the trail parallel to the departmental road. This single track has some small obstacles to overcome (tree roots), and there are 450 m to go before you return to the start car park.

From the Moulin St Roch, discover this circuit through the Fairy Bridge (vestiges of an arch of an aqueduct). A nice discovery walk on the theme of fauna and flora: from geology to the exploitation of water resources, through the fauna and flora, the many signposts will present to you the main characteristics and interpretation the landscape. Easy hike with some elevation changes. Parking: in the parking lot of the cemetery, then along the Mill you will find the start of the circuit.

Discover the hills bordering the river of Garda and the old road up to the village through the oratory of St Joseph. You will also discover the Fairy Bridge (vestiges of an arch of an aqueduct). Come and ride in the heart of the Massif des Maures, between the oak and chestnut forests, to admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Var. COMMUNITIES CROSSED: Pierrefeu-du-Var, Puget-Ville, Collobrières, La Londe-les-Maures START OF THE ROUTE The hike starts from the car park behind the archery park. SIGNAGE: ORANGE To get to the car park, take the D14 towards Collobrières. Turn right coming from Pierrefeu, direction Tir à l'Arc. The car park is located just behind the archery. Start by taking the small winding path on the right of the car park to join the RD and head for the hamlet of La Portanière. After crossing the RD 14, take the Chemin de Maraval for 1.4 km, then follow the arrow post n°49B, direction Collobrières Village. Your journey begins with the discovery of small typically Provençal hamlets, before leading you to the Peyriers track and its oak forest. At the arrow post n°51B, follow Collobrières Village. After passing in front of the Plaine Longue reservoir, get your calves ready because it starts to climb for about 4 km. You then arrive at the Baudisson hunters' hut where you can take a well-deserved break. Follow the arrow post n°55 "Cabane Baudisson" towards Collobrières Village. Downhill enthusiasts will appreciate the next 5 km which will provide them with great sensations, on a partly stony track, with a ford crossing, to arrive at the entrance of Collobrières village. Don't forget to taste the famous marrons glacés and other chestnut-based delicacies! After your gourmet break, retrace your steps towards the firemen's car park and follow the arrow post n°40C "La Capelle", towards Pierrefeu la Portanière, by "le grand Gageai". After the second arrow post, always follow Pierrefeu la Portanière by "le grand Gageai". Then go up the Rieille track for 5.5 km passing by the lake of Camp Bourjas, rich in various species of fish such as perch, roach, pike-perch... Come on, courage! At the arrow post n°39 "Valcros d'Aumeran", direction Baisse du Castellas, there are only 12 km left before the return journey. Enjoy riding on this great track with a breathtaking view of the coastline and the forest of the Massif des Maures. The last kilometre will be the opportunity to accelerate and to jump a few small bumps on the edge of the Issemble track, at about 650 m from the arrow post n°47 "Issemble Beaussenas", direction Pierrefeu la Portanière

A walk in the heart of the Massif des Maures, an ancient place of passage for goats and sheep and the cradle of an ancient agricultural activity. Le Rouay de la Cabre, or "the goat valley", was once a place where goats and sheep used to roam, describing an ancient agricultural activity. Hiking in the Maures Massif, where vines and olive trees are now present in this valley, replacing the herds that disappeared. Restricted access: from June to September, before travelling in the Var Massifs, check the opening conditions on the fire risk map (updated at 5pm every day for the following day) or by calling the tourist office. Parking at the entrance to the Vallon de Tamary, Route de Valcros. ADVICE AND RECOMMENDATIONS: - Bring hiking boots or trainers, water, hat or cap. Always stay informed about the weather conditions. During the hunting season, stay on the marked trails. In an emergency, call 112 for help. Traffic and parking of all motorised vehicles on DFCI roads is prohibited all year round. From June to September, before driving in the Var mountain ranges, check the opening conditions on the fire risk map (updated at 5pm every day for the following day) or by calling the tourist office.

Aups, character village nestled at the foot of the Espiguières mountain in a privileged environment with rich heritage. From the tourist office, pass the St-Pancrace church and walk up Aups through the medieval streets (attention, the yellow markings begins at point (1). Pass at the foot of the Tour de l'Horloge, follow the Aires street and exit the ramparts through Aires Portal Turn left and follow the road to the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Délivrance and then, on the other side of the road, on the rural path of Devensaux. 1- At 150 m, leave the small road and turn right on chemin de la Trinité. The dirt road becomes tarred after college. Climb up by the path to the chapel Sainte-Trinité, pass below, and join a dirt road to the first caves of Aups. Continue on the road for another 300 m to reach, nestled in the wall, the Sainte-Magdeleine chapel. Continue the route under the green oaks, and follow a low wall to reach an intersection. 2 - Go back along the path to the valley on the left and access the forest track. Take the track on the right. Continue for 1 km, then join a cistern and the junction with the track of the Grand Colle. Follow it on the left. It is tarred for 400 m, then continue on the dirt road to the Col de Brès. 3 - Just before the Col de Brès, climb on the path to the left. The climb lasts 800 m to the top of the Espiguières mountain. The path continues on the plateau up to a tank (1 km). 4 - Take a small path on the left in the woods to quickly reach the Croix des Pins (round trip). Return to the track and continue the crossing. Go down the path through the forest and then join the forest path of Croix des Pins at 1.7 km. 5 - On the track turn to the right and 800 m later turn left on the small Devensaux road. Return by the latter to the village and lead in point 1. Continue on the road up to the Aups’s doors. Return to the starting point by the small streets of the village.

Join a small road, continue to descend, pass the buildings of the oil mill and get to the departmental road from Aups to Tourtour. Go back through the Charles Boyer alley to the village.

By following the numbered buoys equipped with handrails you will discover the underwater panels presenting the ecosystem. At depths ranging from 0 to 4 metres, there is a wide variety of underwater landscapes (posidonia meadow, cymodocae, rocks, sand, scree...), inhabited by numerous species of fish, molluscs, crustaceans, starfish... The posidonia meadow: this is not a seaweed but a plant with marine flowers. Posidonia plays a very important role in fixing the sandy bottom, thanks to its roots which form a sort of barrier called the "matte" when they mix with the sediments. A real "lung" of the Mediterranean, this plant has been protected since 1988. The underwater trail can be explored on your own from June to September, following the numbered buoys. The Terre Rousse park is located above the car park of the same name. This 1.5-hectare terraced park plays host to Collobrières' major festivities: Trail des Maures, Course de la Châtaigne and summer events. It is planted with monumental cedars (Cedrus), hundred-year-old plane trees (Platanus occidentalis), cypresses (Cupressus sempervirens) and lime trees (Tilia cordata), Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) and a remarkable magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) over 80 years old overlooking an orchard of fruit trees, created and tended by the children as part of extra-curricular workshops. The spring that rises here feeds the Pont Vieux fountain. An old waterwheel, a pond and a well bear witness to the market gardening past of this wooded area in the heart of the village.

Museum of the marron glacé factory in the heart of the famous marron glacé factory. Proud of its heritage, La Confiserie Azuréenne has created a genuine museum dedicated to the cultivation and manufacture of chestnut products. This museum brings together a collection of tools and machines from the past which, for decades, made it possible to transform the fruit of the chestnut tree into a delicious confectionery.

The garden at the chapel of Notre-Dame de pitié et des sept douleurs features a variety of medicinal and aromatic plants. A remarkable diversity of trees adorn this former chestnut grove of 1.5 ha overlooking the village: eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), blue cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana alumni), cork oaks (Quercus suber), lime trees and a hundred-year-old cedar, converted into a restanque to accommodate the municipal campsite in the 1960s. Today it has been transformed into a park and is the starting point for the hiking trails on the GR 90. A relaxation area, located above the orientation table, offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills.

It plays a central role in Collobrières. It is circled by the Town Hall built in 1861 and Boulevard Lazare Carnot, real Provencal course bordered by the beautiful homes of industrial cork. On the day of the Liberation, August 15, 1944, all the villagers gathered there to express their joy. On August 20, the General de LATTRE DE TASSIGNY addresses the population of (from) the balcony of the Mairie after his troops have released Collobrières. To celebrate the release and impoundment of the village, a big party is organized every year on the Sunday closest to August 15th. A giant aioli is served and the rosé wine flows into the fountain for the occasion.

Built in the 19th century, this bridge quickly became the main crossing point of the Real Collobrier as evidenced by the request for classification by the Municipal Council of February 25, 1877 "as a continuation of the road No. 14". During the Liberation, a truck broke the rail and it is only in 1955 that it will be repaired and expanded. It is now called Roger ROSSI, hero of the resistance died on August 18, 1944 in the Vercors. A commemorative plaque pays tribute to him there.

The arboretum is located on chemin Godissard, on the right behind the Church of Notre Dame des Victoires An agricultural engineer with a passion for botany, the former owner of this 2,000 m² plot of land brought back seeds from his many travels, which he scattered around this beautiful, flat piece of land on the banks of the river. The foliage of a large sycamore maple (Aceraceae), pecan (Carya illinoinensis), Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica), incense cedar (Calocedrus decurrens), Caucasian walnut (Pterocarya fraxinifolia Spatch), pinion (Pinus pinea L.), tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera L.), American red oak (Quercus rubra L.), holm oak (Quercus ilex L.), willow oak (Quercus phellos L.), yew-leaf sequoia (Sequioa sempervirens), etc., offer a setting conducive to strolling and daydreaming. The site is listed as a forest bath where introductory courses in this tree-based health practice are organised.

The communal chestnut grove is located on the heights, offering a panoramic view of the village of Collobrières. A panoramic view over the village sublimates this 5000 m² chestnut orchard (Castanea), emblematic of the Maures tree, as the commune's territory includes 900 ha of chestnut groves. This plot was used as a test, from 2008, for the first severe pruning and selection of shoots as well as for various grafting training campaigns. It is bordered by the botanical trail that leads to the ruins of an old mill in the wind, passing two oratories dedicated to St Pilon and St Pons.

The André Luglia area includes an arboretum with over 300 species of trees, a picnic area, a botanical trail, lakes and a sports trail. This leisure area, created in the 1990s by the local council, offers a wide range of recreational and sporting activities in the rich and varied environment of the Maures forest. Over an area of 12,000 m2, you will discover more than 300 species of ornamental, forest and fruit trees and shrubs, including a collection of conifers. A place to study the adaptation of certain species to a Mediterranean environment with acid soil and no human intervention (no pruning or watering). It also includes two water reservoirs equipped with a pontoon suitable for people with reduced mobility, giving access to a fishing trail, and a botanical trail where you can use a QRcode to discover the species of the Mediterranean marquis and observe plant and animal biodiversity. You'll be able to spot kinglets, tree finches, robins, green woodpeckers, warblers, a multitude of insects such as dragonflies, as well as protected species such as Hermann's tortoise, a rich species in the Massif des Maures. You'll also find a rest and picnic area with drinking water, shaded by tall Aleppo pines and cork oaks, and an 800-metre sports trail with various apparatus for sporting activities. From 21 June to 20 September, the footpaths are subject to the rules governing access to the Var's forested areas in order to comply with the fire risk prevention plan. Nestling in the heart of the Maures massif, the Chartreuse de la Verne offers a haven of silence, nature and ancient history. In the heart of the Maures massif, shrouded in forest and silence, the Chartreuse de la Verne emerges like a well-kept secret. Founded in 1170 on the ruins of an ancient priory, it has always borne the name Notre-Dame de la Verne. Its stones have withstood fire, pillage, war and the Revolution. Three fires in the Middle Ages reduced it to ashes. Each time, the monks rebuilt. Until 1792, when, forced to flee, they left behind an empty sanctuary, sold as national property. Nature then took over. Wind, rain, oblivion... Until, in 1968, a handful of enthusiasts founded the association Les Amis de la Verne. In 1986, around thirty nuns from the Bethlehem family revived the spiritual vocation of the site. Each of them lives in a hermitage, in silence, prayer and work.
