The sizeable valley in which the hamlet of Flandres stands is known as La Flandonenque and offers lush vegetation, hamlets steeped in history, and the Gardon de St-Germain-de-Calberte with its waterfalls and gours (natural basins). Start by following the dirt track (and stay on this main track). Then leave the track by heading right on L'Escaillou, a skidding track that goes uphill into the woods. At the second road, turn right to reach the hamlet of Flandres. As you leave Flandres, a path goes downhill on the right towards a mill, then joins up with the main track again, which takes you to Nozières. As you leave Nozières, go right at the last house and head for La Fare. The footpath becomes narrower for about 1.5 km. In a sharp bend, it meets a larger track. Turn left and enter La Fare by following the path between the houses. As you leave the hamlet, turn right. Follow the lane for about 100 m and turn left. In another small valley, the path curves to reach Le Vernet on the opposite slope. At Le Vernet, walk below the first house on the right, fork left and go through a barrier and then downhill through the meadow to a sheepfold. The path then joins a trincat (channel for diverting water) to reach a bridge. From the bridge, go up the slope in front of you to return to the starting-point.

Immerse yourself in a history as you walk from the banks of the river Gardon to Mas Soubeyran, a museum of French Protestantism. You will be able to enjoy far-reaching views onto the Puechs, Mont Aigoual, Mont Liron and, on clear days, even the Alps. From the car park, turn right onto the D 50, cross the Pont des Camisards bridge and turn left towards Le Travès / Paussan. Then head for Mas Soubeyran via La Roquette. At Mas Soubeyran, take the path on the right to reach La Baumelle gully, which leads to the mas (farm) of the same name. Walk past the mas on its right and continue on the track to join up with the road. Turn right onto the road and after 250 m turn left on a path towards La Rouvière. At La Rouvière, turn left onto a fire road (DFCI) and take a path on the left that goes downhill into Roquefeuille gully. Cross the bridge, take the road on the left and then a small path on the right that will lead you back to Mialet.

The walk takes you to the centre of the old village using the former Royal road, which was once the only track from Chamborigaud to Saint German-de-Calberte. This walk has eleven numbered information panels.

It is located along the river and has its own private beach. The establishment located at the edge of the Cevennes National Park offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. It has a direct access to the river with a private beach, an aquatic complex of more than 600m² with a swimming pool of 250 m², a heated swimming pool with 4 slides including a kamikaze, an aqualudic space of 250 m² for the youngest with many water games and a new slide with sensation, the Tobbo-jump of 11m high. As for other activities, you will find a multi-sports field, an 18-hole mini golf course, a fitness area, a bowling alley with 12 courts, a games library and a children's playground accessible from the opening of the campsite. In the heart of the Vallée Borgne, in the village's old mill, the Maison de l'Eau has naturally found its place. Around this witness to the past, a modern and entertaining exhibition presents water in the Cévennes. Mister Beaver, the mascot, invites young and old to a more unusual visit, combining questions, games and experiments... An interpretive trail completes the visit with a presentation of some of the tree species native to the Cévennes. This is a fun walk for the whole family, during which you'll come face-to-face with the birds that pass between forest and river. Equipped with a pair of binoculars, you can follow the signposted path to learn how to observe and recognize birds (also downloadable from our website). The animal garden of Mialet is an animal park installed near the Gardon and the Abarines bridge. This shady park, a stone's throw from the city center, on the banks of the Gardon River, is a favorite playground for families with children. A playground welcomes the youngest and the oldest can have fun in the skate park. Children love to go and play at Paulhan Park. The governmental research organisation CNRS has installed a hydrometric station here that measures the stream's water levels and flow rate. You can easily see the graduated vertical scale. This is complemented by a pressure probe connected to a data recording centre. This monitoring equipment is part of a series of stations in the Vallée Borgne. The data they record have shown the important role played by tancats (cf. Precious reserves) in regulating water flow. They also confirm how effective the various measures are that have been taken to rehabilitate these structures and maintain riverbank vegetation.

For 4 generations now, this family campsite welcomes you in the heart of the Cevennes between Anduze and Saint Jean du Gard, in the Mialet valley. It is located along the river and has its own private beach. The establishment located at the edge of the Cevennes National Park offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. It has a direct access to the river with a private beach, an aquatic complex of more than 600m² with a swimming pool of 250 m², a heated swimming pool with 4 slides including a kamikaze, an aqualudic space of 250 m² for the youngest with many water games and a new slide with sensation, the Tobbo-jump of 11m high. As for other activities, you will find a multi-sports field, an 18-hole mini golf course, a fitness area, a bowling alley with 12 courts, a games library and a children's playground accessible from the opening of the campsite. Activities for children from 3 to 5 years old and 6 to 10 years old, for teenagers from 11 to 14 years old and 15 to 18 years old as well as sports and leisure activities and big family games are organized in July and August, 6 days a week in our air-conditioned yurt. Located in the Borgne Valley, in the commune of Les Plantiers, our Fontfouillouse gîte welcomes you to an unspoilt valley at the foot of a 12th-century Romanesque church. In the midst of the Cévennes chestnut grove, we have created our group gîte. Our accommodation comprises a large living room/kitchen with direct access to the outside, and sleeping areas for up to 15 people. Ideally located, we open our house for a stopover on a hike or a longer stay, a weekend with family or friends. We look forward to welcoming you. Our table d'hôtes is available on reservation, as are products from the chestnut grove. Guided walks available. In summer, there's a supervised lake in the village and river swimming nearby.
