In 2009, Evelyne and Michel converted an old mill dating from the 16th century into a gîte d'étape.
This comfortable, functional and friendly gîte is remarkably well suited to the needs of hikers in the new millennium.
The preservation of the old buildings has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while respecting the architectural authenticity and rich history of the area.
Lime rendering and the use of chestnut wood blend perfectly with the original stone. The garden offers a variety of relaxation areas for a well-deserved rest.

Situated on the edge of the GR70 and very close to the GR61, 'Le Pré de Modestine' is the ideal place to enjoy the end of Stevenson's route, or to organize hikes to discover the Cévennes.

The gîte is located 1 km upstream from Saint Jean du Gard.
