La voie verte runs along the Isère river for about 15 kilometres from Aime to Bourg Saint Maurice. It can also be reached from the leisure centre. La voie verte is open to cyclists, joggers, rollerbladers and walkers. From the track, you can also watch rafts and canoes navigating the Isere river. In order that everyone can enjoy using the track, and for your own safety, we remind you that: - Users must respect the road markings and the road signs. - Horses are prohibited. - Dogs must be kept on a leash.

At the start of the 11 km cycle path from Aime to Bourg Saint Maurice (22 km there and back), on the banks of the river Isère, you will find a bike rental service at AN Rafting with bikes for cyclists of all ages. An accessible cycle path on the banks of the river and far from traffic, for a peaceful ride with your family or friends! We have electric or classic all-terrain bikes to rent. For children, we have 20" or 24" bikes. For your littlest ones, you can rent a trailer or a child seat! Helmets, locks and baskets are available on request (helmet obligatory for children age 12 and under). Remember to book in advance!

The Canton d'Aime's Neige & Soleil dairy cooperative and maturing cooperative are both located in the same building. Between them, they turn more than two million litres of milk into Beaufort cheese! It is not known exactly when the chapel of Villaroland was founded, perhaps in the late 12th century or the 14th century. It bears architectural features that are characteristic of Romanesque art, you see: a single pointed barrel-arch nave and a semi-dome apse like the chapels of Saint Pierre d’Extravache or L’Écot, near Bonneval-sur-Arc in Maurienne. It is not possible to pinpoint an exact date from these elements, however. With no precise date for describing this as a "Romanesque chapel", we will make do with calling it a chapel of "Romanesque tradition".

Just like all the other villages, Le Villard had its own chapel long before its attachment to the parish of La Côte d’Aime. Dedicated to Saint Blaise and Saint Anne, it is a very old edifice. We don’t know exactly when it was built.

Gérard and his wife run this goat farm, where the animals are stabled when they’re not grazing up in the mountains. The farm produces cheeses made from goat’s milk, including Tomme de Chèvre and serac.In the summer, the goatherd is up on the mountainside tending his animals, but you can buy his cheeses every Friday evening at the market in La Cote d'Aime, from 5:30 to 7:30. You can even enjoy a tasting session accompanied by the local wine.

This chapel dates back to 1628. It is believed to have been built thanks to the generosity of the village's prominent figures. It is often called "Chapelle de la Salette" after the statue of the Virgin of La Salette inside (donated by a village local). Notre-Dame de La Salette is how Catholics refer to the Virgin Mary when she apparently appeared before two children on 19 September 1846 above the village of La Salette-Fallavaux, near Corps, in the Isère département (just south of here).St Sebastian, meanwhile, was called on to heal leprosy and plague, an outbreak of which ravaged the municipality. The great plague epidemic hit many households here, such that by 1348 there were only seven cottages left in Sangot that asked to join Macot. Since then, Macot and Sangot have formed the same municipality.

The gite "Pollen" is a holiday cottage in the heart of the village of Granier (Tarentaise/Beaufortain). It is an old mountain building, completely renovated, facing south and with a breathtaking view of the Vanoise glaciers.

The Auberge Le Valezan is a mountain inn in the heart of the village of Valezan, perched 1200m above sea level on the south-facing side of the Tarentaise valley. On the ground floor, you'll discover a room with 4 single beds, a shower room with shower, washbasin and separate toilets. On the 1st floor, with direct access to the terrace, a large bright living space comprising a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge area. On the mezzanine, you'll find 4 single beds and stunning views of the mountains. The main heating for the chalet is from a wood-burning stove in the living room. Thanks to a solar panel, you can enjoy electric light in every room of the chalet. The chalet does NOT have any electrical sockets. So, when you need to recharge your electrical devices, there are two solutions: use the battery in your car, or come to the city hall and leave them with us while you do the shopping or enjoy a stroll. Bed linen: Pillows and blankets are provided and mattresses protected by a disposable fitted sheet. All you have bring is your own sheet or a sleeping bag. At the foot of the Pierra Menta in the Ormente valley, the refuge is one of the stages on the GR5, situated on the Tour du Beaufortain variant.
