After approximately 1 km, you will discover on your left the Moulins de Pantin, impressive buildings were formerly used for activities of flour-mill. Having joined the cycle track and having traveled approximately 2 km, you will perceive on your left the radio mast TDF of Romainville built in 1984.

The bridge raising of the street of Crimée, or bridge of Flandre, allows the street of Crimée to cross the canal, and connects the quay of the Oise, on the northwest side of the canal, with the quay of the Marne, on the southeast side of the canal. Put into service in 1885, the last bridge raising of the capital knows even every year 9 000 operations. When the raising bridge is in action to allow to pass a boat, the pedestrians can cross close by on a fixed and heightened footbridge: the footbridge of the street of Crimée. The set, the footbridge and bridge, was completely renovated during the summer, 2011.

Around the site of canals developed, from the second quarter of the XIXth century, an intense activity of freight and harbour. In last half of the same century it was the support of a very important industrialization, in Paris as on the territory of the current Seine Saint-Denis. At the same time the harbour traffic of the Pond of the Villette was for its peak, and equivalent to that of the port of Bordeaux.

This traffic of freight knew, in the course of the XXth century, bound important peaks, for the main part, about the activity of the BTP(BUILDING AND CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS) after the big world conflicts. Pedestrian footbridge it crossed the pond of the Villette in its center, to connect the quay of the Loire with the South (where it begins in the alignment of the street of the Moselle) in the bank of the Seine in the North (where it ends almost in the axis of the passage of Flanders).
