On the way, your chauffeur-guide will show you the famous Japanese bridge that stretches over the water lily pond, the main subject of Monet's work towards the end of his life. Stroll through these remarkable gardens for yourself, and look around the house and the studio at your own pace, taking in the inspirational surroundings. Once you've seen the artist's private dwelling, visit the Musée des Impressionnismes (Impressionism Museum) to further your knowledge of the wider artistic movement. At the end of the day, your minibus will return to Paris, and drop you off at your hotel.

On this tour you will visit the D-Day 1944 landing beaches in Normandy and the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, walk along Omaha Beach, have lunch, and travel along the Gold coast... a mini-bus will collect you and drop you off your hotel. BETWEEN JUNE AND AUGUST 1944, THE NORMANDY REGION WAS THE STAGE OF THE BATTLE OF NORMANDY, A FIERCE CONFLICT WHICH ENABLED ALLIED FORCES TO OPEN A SECOND FRONT TO FIGHT AGAINST GERMAN SOLDIERS IN EUROPE. Stand on the Normandy beaches, and see for yourself the setting in which this decisive battle was fought. As you travel from the Pointe du Hoc to Arromanches, this tour will bring to life the key moments that shaped the individual conflicts and the whole of Europe's history. You will be collected from your hotel in Paris in the morning and driven through Normandy to the Pointe du Hoc, a strip of land jutting out from the Normandy coast from which the Rangers' launched their heroic assault. You can explore the site at your own pace. The excursion will then continue at the American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer, final resting place of some 9,387 soldiers. Here you will have some free time to go around the new visitors' centre, which commemorates the events of June 6, 1944. Next up is Omaha Beach, where you will set foot on the historic sands where the American forces suffered their heaviest losses. After lunch at "La Ferme de la Rançonnière" restaurant, the tour will take you to the ruins of the artificial port at Arromanches before travelling along the Gold Coast to visit Juno Beach. Once there, your guide will show you what remains of the Atlantic Wall before your return to Paris, where a minibus will take you back to your hotel.

The itinerary also includes visits to Mont Saint-Michel and the Loire Chateaux. ENJOY A 3-DAY TOUR OF FOUR DIFFERENT HISTORICAL REGIONS TO DISCOVER FRANCE'S RICH CULTURAL PAST. Breathe in the fresh air of Normandy's coastal towns and visit the historical sites of the Allies' 1944 Normandy landings. Travel on to Brittany, where you will explore the renowned seaside resort of St Malo, before visiting Mont Saint-Michel and its spectacular abbey. You will also discover the magnificent Loire Chateaux to admire their beautiful architecture and estates! This 3-day getaway promises to be a relaxing cultural and memorable trip. Details of the itinerary are as follows: DAY 1 You will travel by coach from Paris to Rouen for a walking-tour of the town's historic centre. You will then proceed to Honfleur, taking in the splendid views from the Normandy Bridge along the way. Lunch in the quaint town of Honfleur, renowned for its picturesque old port. The next port of call will be the beaches of Normandy, the stage for the Allied landings of June 1944. Later on you will visit the St Laurent Cemetery, which overlooks the sands of Omaha Beach where the Allies suffered their heaviest loss of troops. Arromanches, the artificial harbour constructed by the Allies, is the next stop on the tour. Finally, you will head to Caen to check into your hotel where you will also enjoy an evening meal. DAY 2 After breakfast at your hotel in Caen,  you will head to another iconic French region: Brittany. Arriving at St Malo, your guide will take you on a tour of the town's must-see sites, including the cathedral and the ramparts. Enjoy some free time in St Malo to have lunch in one of the seaside cafés or restaurants before heading to Mont Saint-Michel, set on the boundary between Brittany and Normandy. At Mont Saint-Michel, you'll climb up to the spectacular Gothic-inspired abbey set upon the peak of the islet for a guided tour, then explore the historic village at your own pace. At the end of the afternoon, you will set off to dine in your hotel in Angers. DAY 3 After a buffet-breakfast in your hotel, you will take to the road again for Langeais, passing by Angers Chateau which you can admire from the exterior. When you arrive at Langeais, you will be given a guided tour of its medieval castle. You will then have free time to have lunch independently in the wine-growing region of Amboise. In the afternoon, it will be time for a guided tour of two historic gems. Firstly Chenonceau Chateau, a true masterpiece of the French Renaissance era. Then, having passed by Cheverny, you'll visit the famous former royal residence at Chambord: the largest chateau of the Loire Valley with a vast estate. You will leave Chambord at around 6.30pm, to arrive back in Paris at around 9pm.
