Description

Come and see the villages of Normandy and relive the major events of the Allies' 1944 Normandy landings! Visit the renowned seaside resort of St Malo in Brittany. The itinerary also includes visits to Mont Saint-Michel and the Loire Chateaux.

ENJOY A 3-DAY TOUR OF FOUR DIFFERENT HISTORICAL REGIONS TO DISCOVER FRANCE'S RICH CULTURAL PAST.
Breathe in the fresh air of Normandy's coastal towns and visit the historical sites of the Allies' 1944 Normandy landings.
Travel on to Brittany, where you will explore the renowned seaside resort of St Malo, before visiting Mont Saint-Michel and its spectacular abbey.
You will also discover the magnificent Loire Chateaux to admire their beautiful architecture and estates!
This 3-day getaway promises to be a relaxing cultural and memorable trip. Details of the itinerary are as follows:
DAY 1
You will travel by coach from Paris to Rouen for a walking-tour of the town's historic centre. You will then proceed to Honfleur, taking in the splendid views from the Normandy Bridge along the way. Lunch in the quaint town of Honfleur, renowned for its picturesque old port.
The next port of call will be the beaches of Normandy, the stage for the Allied landings of June 1944. Later on you will visit the St Laurent Cemetery, which overlooks the sands of Omaha Beach where the Allies suffered their heaviest loss of troops.
Arromanches, the artificial harbour constructed by the Allies, is the next stop on the tour.
Finally, you will head to Caen to check into your hotel where you will also enjoy an evening meal.
DAY 2
After breakfast at your hotel in Caen,  you will head to another iconic French region: Brittany. Arriving at St Malo, your guide will take you on a tour of the town's must-see sites, including the cathedral and the ramparts.
Enjoy some free time in St Malo to have lunch in one of the seaside cafés or restaurants before heading to Mont Saint-Michel, set on the boundary between Brittany and Normandy. At Mont Saint-Michel, you'll climb up to the spectacular Gothic-inspired abbey set upon the peak of the islet for a guided tour, then explore the historic village at your own pace.
At the end of the afternoon, you will set off to dine in your hotel in Angers.
DAY 3
After a buffet-breakfast in your hotel, you will take to the road again for Langeais, passing by Angers Chateau which you can admire from the exterior.
When you arrive at Langeais, you will be given a guided tour of its medieval castle. You will then have free time to have lunch independently in the wine-growing region of Amboise.
In the afternoon, it will be time for a guided tour of two historic gems. Firstly Chenonceau Chateau, a true masterpiece of the French Renaissance era. Then, having passed by Cheverny, you'll visit the famous former royal residence at Chambord: the largest chateau of the Loire Valley with a vast estate.
You will leave Chambord at around 6.30pm, to arrive back in Paris at around 9pm.
