Vedettes de Paris : 1h Sigthseeing Cruise with Champagne

ArrayWhy You Shouldn’t Miss This Paris is one of the major financial centers of Europe and the third highest GDP in the world. Its history goes back to 52 BC when it was conquered by the Romans and was made a garrison camp. By the 12th century, however, it was a political, cultural and religious capital of France. The Palais de la Cite, which continues to stand to this day was built in the 12th century on the Ile de la Cite island. It is home to hundreds of attractions and monuments, many of them built during the medieval and renaissance periods. A number of them are located close to the Seine and can be seen during the river cruise. These include the Notre Dame de Paris, the Les Invalides, Conciergerie, the Palais de Chaillot, and Louvre Museum. A cruise is a perfect way to experience the beauty of Paris, especially at night when all of these monuments are lit up, making for one of the most beautiful riverside views in the world. Your Experience The cruise will take you past the renowned attractions of Paris, and under numerous beautiful bridges that are present over the Seine. You will get onto the cruise ship at the base of the Eiffel Tower. An audio commentary is available in 3 different languages, allowing you to understand the history behind each of the buildings seen. You will then pass by the National Assembly building and the Musee D’Orsay. The sunlight paints the building in a beautiful golden white color, and at night, the entire structure is lit up, and the large windows give stunning views of the interiors. The cruise ship will then pass by the Academie Francaise and the Conciergerie, where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned. You will then come upon the marvellous Notre Dame de Paris. The front facade is visible, along with the towering spires that are associated with Gothic architecture. You will then see the Arab World Institute, an ultra-modern building that is a stark contrast to the historical monuments situated around it. The cruise ship will take a turn, and you will move towards the starting point. On the other side of the river, you will see the Hotel de Ville, a massive structure that houses the local administrators of Paris. The world-famous Louvre Museum will pass by on your right, but you will unable to see the glass pyramid due to the high walls covering the attraction. You will then see the Grand Palais, a well-known exhibition hall and museum complex. The last monument is the Palais de Chaillot, and the famous buildings can be seen situated a short distance away. With this, your hour-long cruise on the seine will come to an end.

Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre

Created in 1869 under the second Empire as " place of King of Rome " (in homage to Charles Joseph Bonaparte, son(sons, thread) of emperor Napoleon Ier), it took the name of Trocadéro in 1877, baptized so in memory of the battle which took place on August 31st, 1823, during whom a French expeditionary force deprived of the hands of the Spanish liberal revolutionaries the fort of the Trocadéro, which defended the port from Cadiz to Spain, and restores the authority of the monarch Ferdinand VII. In 1826, during a reconstruction of this feat of arm during a military parade in front of king of France Charles X, the topography of places serves to represent this battle: the hill of Chaillot represents the " fort of the Trocadéro " and must be then "conquered" from Champ-de-Mars where from left the French "troops" (a fort for pasteboard is built on the hill).Between 1876 and 1935, the place is lined by the palace of the Trocadéro; since the exhibition specialized 1937, this one was replaced by the Palais de Chaillot; the center of the place is occupied as for him by the Column of the peace, realized by Albert Laprade (today disappeared). At the beginning of the xxe century, on the beam giving onto the place understanding the block between avenues Raymond-Poincaré and Kleber, and behind the street of Longchamp is present the deposit of the general Company of local trains; nowadays, cafés and apartment buildings replaced it. In 1956, the writer Maurice Genevoix inaugurates the Monument to the glory of the French army, Paul Landowski's sculpture, situated along the Passy Cemetery. The current name of the place of Trocadéro-et-du-11-Novembre dates 1978. On May 1st, 2012, a public meeting gathering, according to the organizers, several hundreds of thousand persons is organized place of the Trocadéro: it is about the last public meeting of the candidate Nicolas Sarkozy for the presidential election the second tour of which takes place next Sunday. On May 13th, 2013, a party is organized by the PSG on the place to celebrate the victory of the club of football during the French championship at the end of the week the previous one. Because of several vandals' tens, this one is nevertheless shortened and gives rise to confrontations with law enforcement and to vandalism of brasseries and vehicles parked on the place.
