Welcome to the Gîte de l'Orangerie! Ideally situated between Angers and Le Mans, right next to the Château de Durtal, this flat is ideal for a stopover of a few nights (or more if you feel like it) to discover the treasures of our region. Visit Durtal castle (just below the flat!) in season, the Marcé aeronautics museum 15 minutes away, walk or cycle along the Loir near Baugé-en-Anjou or Seiches-sur-le-Loir, visit La Flèche zoo 20 minutes away. Angers, with its Château des Ducs d'Anjou (and its famous Apocalypse painting), historic town centre and Terra Botanica plant park, is 30 minutes away. For motor sport fans, the Le Mans 24-hour race circuit is 40 minutes from the gîte. The gîte is accessed from the bottom of the Château de Durtal via a staircase of around twenty steps leading up to a pleasant garden. On the ground floor, the flat opens onto a living room with a dining area, a sitting room with a 140cm x 190cm sofa bed, a TV (not visible in the photos), a non-functional fireplace and a study area. From this room, you can access the fully-equipped kitchen (oven, 2-burner hob, table-top fridge, microwave, etc.). Welcome to Bozena & Alain, on their renovated farm, in the countryside north of Durtal, 4 km from the town centre, on a property of several hectares, managed using agro-ecology (permaculture) and close to the GR35 footpath. Two pleasant, peaceful guest rooms, one with a private entrance. Ground floor: A recently renovated room, cool in summer, with a double bed, private WC & bathroom, with the possibility of enjoying a sauna session (to be booked: €10/person for a 1-hour session with a complimentary cold drink). Small table and chairs on the lawn in front of the room Upstairs: A large, spacious bedroom with a double bed, private WC and bathroom. Available in the room: electric kettle, tea, coffee, herbal teas and sugar. An organic breakfast is included in the nightly rate and will be served the following morning. Please note: The house is equipped with a plant purification system that requires a pond to collect the filtered water. This pond is located in a part of the property not accessible to guests, so children must remain under their parents' supervision. Let yourself be lulled by the Loir and sleep aboard this traditional wooden flat-bottomed boat measuring 10m x 2.60 m and transformed into an unusual river gîte for a night or a weekend. Built in 2013 from unsinkable double-hulled wood and resin, this rowing boat is well insulated with double glazing. It has a double bed, a small kitchen, a shower with hot water and a dry toilet. It is moored on the Loir, facing a breathtaking view of the dam and Durtal castle. Breakfast can be taken directly on board or on the terrace of the house opposite the owners' home, which offers the same view and where you can enjoy a quiet chat. This toue is well hidden in a bucolic, rural setting. To get there, you have to squeeze through a narrow passage to the left of the little Saint-Léonard chapel in Rue St Léonard, then cross a small wooden bridge onto a wide, shady waterside garden with a view of the dam and the château. The garden features a barbecue, tables, chairs and deckchairs. There is also a hut with a dry toilet and a water point. A few chickens even provide fresh eggs for breakfast. Additional guests can pitch their tents in the garden at an extra cost. The 11th-century chapel of St Léonard, with its magnificent roof frame and murals, can be visited free of charge on request. Ideally situated between Angers and Le Mans, right next to the Château de Durtal, this flat is ideal for a stopover of a few nights (or more if you feel like it) to discover the treasures of our region. Visit Durtal castle (just below the flat!) in season, the Marcé aeronautics museum 15 minutes away, walk or cycle along the Loir near Baugé-en-Anjou or Seiches-sur-le-Loir, visit La Flèche zoo 20 minutes away. Angers, with its Château des Ducs d'Anjou (and its famous Apocalypse painting), historic town centre and Terra Botanica plant park, is 30 minutes away. For motor sport fans, the Le Mans 24-hour race circuit is 40 minutes from the gîte. The gîte is accessed from the bottom of the Château de Durtal via a staircase of around twenty steps leading up to a pleasant garden. On the ground floor, the flat opens onto a living room with a dining area, a sitting room with a 140cm x 190cm sofa bed, a TV (not visible in the photos), a non-functional fireplace and a study area. From this room, you can access the fully-equipped kitchen (oven, 2-burner hob, table-top fridge, microwave, etc.). The staircase leads upstairs to a large 23 m² bedroom with a 140cm x 190cm bed and an extra bed for a child, a study area and a bathroom with bath and WC. On sunny days, take advantage of the magnificent 2000m² garden, shared with the tenants of the other two flats, from which you will have an uninterrupted view of part of Durtal castle.
