Le gîte de l'Orangerie

Welcome to the Gîte de l'Orangerie! Ideally situated between Angers and Le Mans, right next to the Château de Durtal, this flat is ideal for a stopover of a few nights (or more if you feel like it) to discover the treasures of our region. Visit Durtal castle (just below the flat!) in season, the Marcé aeronautics museum 15 minutes away, walk or cycle along the Loir near Baugé-en-Anjou or Seiches-sur-le-Loir, visit La Flèche zoo 20 minutes away. Angers, with its Château des Ducs d'Anjou (and its famous Apocalypse painting), historic town centre and Terra Botanica plant park, is 30 minutes away. For motor sport fans, the Le Mans 24-hour race circuit is 40 minutes from the gîte.

The gîte is accessed from the bottom of the Château de Durtal via a staircase of around twenty steps leading up to a pleasant garden. On the ground floor, the flat opens onto a living room with a dining area, a sitting room with a 140cm x 190cm sofa bed, a TV (not visible in the photos), a non-functional fireplace and a study area. From this room, you can access the fully-equipped kitchen (oven, 2-burner hob, table-top fridge, microwave, etc.). The staircase leads upstairs to a large 23 m² bedroom with a 140cm x 190cm bed and an extra bed for a child, a study area and a bathroom with bath and WC.

On sunny days, take advantage of the magnificent 2000m² garden, shared with the tenants of the other two flats, from which you will have an uninterrupted view of part of Durtal castle. Garden furniture is provided. Shared laundry room with two other apartments: washing machine and tumble dryer. Wi-fi internet connection.

All you have to do is put your bags down and enjoy your stay: beds are made on arrival, towels are provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included. There are many services within walking distance of the accommodation: restaurants, shops, grocery shop, tourist office. This accommodation does not have a television. Public car park at the foot of the château, 15 metres from the accommodation.
