Starting from the panoramic village of Tourtrès, five thematic panels present the landscapes, the habitat, the agricultural productions, the history of the village and the evolution of the site. The circuit then goes into the Verteuil woods, home to numerous doves (circuit to be avoided during hunting season). Le pech de Tourtrès offers a 360° view of the surrounding countryside. The "moulin tour" would have been built there in 1620, with two other mills giving its name to the site "Tourtrès". Only one remains today. Destroyed in 1892, it was rebuilt in 1895. It is now equipped with wings to be covered. The church, surrounded by its cemetery, crowns the top of the "pech". The single nave is finished by a chevet with cut-off sides. Starting at the Place du Gravier on the banks of the Garonne, pedal past the historical areas of Agen before joining the Ermitage plateau and its viewpoint over the town.

Numerous viewpoints, decorate this circuit where the irrigation lakes, very present, feed the agricultural cultures and in particular, in the north of the course, orchards of hazel trees and walnut trees.

Discover Lac du Loubet. Follow the banks of the reservoir for a refreshingly easy stroll, and take advantage of this moment of tranquillity to observe the surrounding flora and fauna.

In the first part of this circuit, you will discover the banks of the lake of Loubet. From the church of Cabannes, a long climb leads to the promontory village of Montastruc (360° panorama). The woods of Farinelles will bring a little freshness, before the golf course and the last ascent towards Tombeboeuf.

This circuit, offering vast points of view, allows to embrace the hilly landscape which surrounds it. Off-trail detours lead to the two most beautiful panoramas on this route.

This circuit without great difficulty crosses wooded areas, hazelnut and plum orchards. The riding school of Bel-Air marks the entrance to the woods of Verteuil, which will only be touched upon.

The departure and arrival of this circuit are on a communal road lined with orchards at the start, on a little frequented departmental road at the return. Many points of view will make you discover the many perched villages around.

After discovering the monuments of Gontaud (church, market hall and castle), the tour winds through the wooded hillsides overlooking the village, until it reaches the goal of this walk, which is a tribute to Aeolus.

The charm of Verteuil comes primarily from its built heritage. The most beautiful view can be seen from the road to Brugnac with the Château des Vallons dominating the heart of the village. As you stroll through the streets, you will notice the half-timbered houses and the wash house, the old air forge which now houses the Verteuil Philharmonic Orchestra and the church of Saint-Eutrope, which faces the castle and is open every day for visits.

Facing the castle, the church of Saint-Eutrope was restored in recent years and corresponds to several periods of construction, from the fifteenth century until the twentieth century.

Château des Vallons is a building whose earliest records date back to 1259. It belonged to the de Caumont and de Pins families (1259), to the d'Albret family (1360) and then to the de Caumont family (1460), who rebuilt it after the Hundred Years' War. In 2003, the current owner discovered a derelict building, partly roofless and windowless. From 2013 to the present day, the main part of the dwelling facing the church has been recreated, the rooms refurbished and the décor completely redesigned. Guest rooms and a tearoom are now open to guests. The cloister and formal gardens have also been recreated. It is now a timeless place, dear to the hearts of the enthusiasts who have brought it back to life.

For two generations, the MOMMAS family has been offering fresh products from their farm (red label chickens, mulard ducks - IGP Sud Ouest, red label capons and pigs), fed with locally produced cereals. They also produce saffron.

Jean-François Fondan raises his own sheep and makes and matures his own cheeses.

Pig farmers, Pierre and Fabienne Grosz raise piglets and fatten them with cereals from their farm. On a family farm of 130 ha, the farm breeds, feeds and processes fattened ducks. It produces its own cereals and corn to feed its poultry until adulthood. It also owns plum trees. It offers foie gras in verrine, pure duck pâtés, rillettes, confits, other duck-based cooked products and fresh products from November to March.

A beekeeper since 2005, Christian Dumon started with 3 hives, 17 in 2006, to finish with 250 in 2017. The honeys are produced and harvested in the tradition, in reasoned beekeeping, which allows to have honeys of quality: acacia, all flowers, chestnut and sunflower. The hives are spread over the communes of Brugnac, Castelmoron-sur-Lot, Coulx, Fongrave, and Monclar in winter. The increase in livestock has made it possible to practise transhumance beekeeping in the summer in Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne, particularly for chestnuts. Christian sells his products directly from his home, on order, but you can also find them in the grocery stores of Verteuil-d'Agenais, Varès and Monclar.

Le Chaudron magique is a diversified farm that produces many foodstuffs and sells them on the farm: since 1980, breeding of dairy and angora goats, cultivation of cereals and processing of all productions. Goat's milk products (cheeses, yoghurts, faisselle and milk), flour and semolina, fresh bread every Tuesday, biscuits, protein crops (split peas). But also beautiful warm and cozy clothes made from the wool of angora goats. The Magic Cauldron is also a farm of welcome and discovery for an immersion in an authentic agricultural atmosphere!
