At the beginning of the hike, you will cross a pleasant undergrowth with the small pond of the village of Molière (buildings of the 16th century). You will continue through fields, forests and valleys, the dry stone huts, the Manors of Air, Molière and Auxerre.

You will enjoy magnificent views of the Manoir de l'Air (18th century) and that of Costeperrier, the Valojoulx fish reserve with the forest as a backdrop.

A walk with a changing landscape, to be done with the whole family... This loop will seduce you by the diversity of the landscape and the variations of the terrain. You will be able to admire old buildings and mills with stone roofs. You will also notice the erosion that the sea has done on the cliffs now covered by a splendid forest.

Semi-urban walk that will take you in the footsteps of the inventors of Lascaux, from the village of Montignac to the hill where the cave was found in 1940, before going down towards Grand Lascaux.

A short walk around 2 prehistoric sites in Montignac: the famous Lascaux cave and the Régourdou site. This walk, which starts in the village of Montignac, takes you to the top of the hill where the famous Lascaux cave is located. On the way back to the village you will have a splendid view of the Vézère river.

No doubt inspiring the writer Eugène Le Roy, this loop winds, rises, strolls and descends to rub shoulders with the castle and ponds of Coulonge. Panoramic views and glimpses of Montignac and the surrounding area await you. You will walk in the middle of a typically Perigordian nature made of fat meadows and chestnut groves.

From Terrasson-Lavilledieu to Limeuil, where the Vézère joins the Dordogne, the river runs through one of the most beautiful regions of the Périgord. This third stage will take you from Montignac to Sergeac. You will discover the town of Montignac, its small streets, its half-timbered houses and its stilt houses. Continue the route by passing through Brenac, a hamlet with the typical architecture of the Périgord Noir, then reach Valojoulx and its charming Romanesque church. You will then arrive at Sergeac and its imposing fortified church.

Start from the rugby stadium, a short distance with only one hill, but a difficult and technical one. This route takes you over the hill where the Lascaux cave (the original, no longer visited) and Lascaux 2 (the first facsimile) are located, and not far from Lascaux 4 (replica made in 2016).

La Chapelle Aubareil is a charming village situated between Montignac-Lascaux and Saint Léon sur Vézère, at an altitude of 260 m. The village is dominated by a tower, a vestige of a medieval castle about which little is known other than that the land and the lordship of La Chapelle Aubareil were acquired on 15 February 1698 by the Lord of Pelvézy. A document shows that at that time, the castle was already in a serious state of disrepair. The dismantling of the castle must have made it possible to build the houses in the village: the corner ties, lintels and dressed stone, the arrow slits, the mullioned windows, etc. bear witness to this. Walk through the village, with its spaces reconfigured in 2005,and discover these features along with a cross featuring Christ, a vestige of the old cemetery and the village church.
