From the Florimont call sign on the Calvaire parking lot. Leave the parking lot and turn right, then left. 150m further on, turn right towards Moncalou.

The commune of Florimont Gaumier, rich in natural and architectural heritage in the Perigord style with Quercy influences, has undeniable assets to attract all the curious. A dynamic around the vineyard confirms the revival of the culture of the vine and the wine of the Country of Domme. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Céou, a small tributary river of the Dordogne, and it is this charming and capricious river that gave its name to the Chai de Moncalou cooperative cellar. The vines produced high quality wines, served at the King's Court! In 1870 it was the second largest vineyard in the Dordogne after Bergerac with no less than 2700 hectares. After the phylloxera and the great wars, the vineyard disappeared... The small village is organized around 2 bell towers: Florimont, perched at 272m, Causse country and Gaumier which sees the Céou flowing at its feet.

Cénac-et-Saint-Julien, the starting point of this hike, is located below the famous bastide of Domme, on the banks of the Dordogne river. Following the river along the cliffs called "pendoilles", you will reach La Roque-Gageac and Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, villages labelled among the "Most beautiful villages of France".

Call sign at the pradal car park (outside the bastide). Take the obligatory exit from the car park. Turn left and then right just before the rescue centre. Go down to the crossroads (there is a cross) and go left. Go straight on, you will pass behind the football stadium. Continue for 1.4kms and turn right into the undergrowth (at the village of Ventoulines) You will go down to the place called Reille, and turn left. Go up to the edge plain. Once at the edge of the plain, continue and pass in front of the airfield of Domme Continue for 1.4kms (wide path + road). You will arrive at the top of the Pradal car park.

Former pilgrimage route of 180 kilometers allowing to join the Périgord to Rocamadour, this magnificent course is from now on marked out, and allows in full safety to cross the vineyards and hills bergeracoises, before skirting the green valley Dordogne and its cliffs, to arrive in the valley of Ouysse.For this 9th stage from Domme, you will visit this bastide also called the acropolis of the Périgord, and then head for Grolejac, not without having admired the view over the Dordogne valley from the panoramic terrace.

Former pilgrimage route of 180 kilometers to join the Perigord to Rocamadour, this magnificent route is now marked out, and allows you to cross the vineyards and hills of Bergerac in complete safety, before going along the green Dordogne valley and its cliffs, to arrive in the valley of the Ouysse. Starting from Grolejac la Mouline for this tenth stage, you will cross the village of Veyrignac and its church Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens then you will find the river at the level of the castle of Fénelon. You can admire its circular towers and its roofs covered with lauzes. Opposite Fénelon, on the other side of the Dordogne, stands the fortified village of Carlux where you can see the ruins of the ramparts, the entrance towers and the keep of the old castle. Before leaving the village, you will admire a curious gothic chimney called "sarrazine".

From Groléjac, the path turns away from the Dordogne valley and heads towards Sarlat La Canéda, along a greenway located on an old railroad line. The forest is omnipresent, overlooking the small valleys and leaving the hiker wide shoulders. Between Sarlat and Carlux, the Sarladais hillsides offer glimpses through the forest to villages with their blond stone and traditional architecture.

On the edge of a vertiginous cliff, Domme " Most beautiful villages of France " offers an exceptional panorama on the valley of the Dordogne. Surrounded by ramparts, the 19th century bastide recounts a tumultuous past illustrated by its fortified gates and towers which were used as a prison by the Templars at the beginning of the 14th century and then by French and English soldiers during the Hundred Years War. At the beginning of the 14th century, Philippe Le Bel abolished the Templar order. Some knights of the neighbouring commanderies were then locked up in the bastide. Their prison, the Gate of the Towers, keeps the memory of these years of captivity. From the bus stop, you will discover the Bastide of Domme, classified among the "most beautiful villages of France", after 1 km of walking. Then, you will go down towards the Dordogne during 2km before taking a path which goes along the river. Halfway down, you will arrive in a second "Most beautiful village of France": La Roque-Gageac, with houses flanking the rock. The Domaine de Lasfargues is a farm whose origins are lost in the mists of time. We are in the village of Moncalou at 400 meters from the "Panoramic Tower". Situated 15mm from Domme on a high point of the Céou hills, you will discover a magnificent panorama in a preserved environment. In addition to our shop, you will be able to visit our wine storehouse, the farm buildings, some of which date from the 17th century. You will thus be able to discover the life and the evolution over time of a traditional farm in our area. We produce different wines, white, red and rosé but also a crémant and aperitifs, walnut wine and ratafia. We also produce walnuts which are marketed in shells in kernels or walnut oil. 10 km south of Domme, in the Perigord Noir, discover the dry stone constructions of Daglan (walls, cabins and huts). Peasants built these as shelter for their tools and themselves at the end of the Hundred Year War. First of all you visit the museum retracing their history with an extensive collection an life-sized reproductions, then you go on a 3km walk during which ou will see 2 very famous wall cabins. In this traditional village of the Périgord Noir, children will discover the life of the peasants of yesteryear through a discovery itinerary. From the earth to the plate, from the stone to the thatched cottage, from the fountain to the glass, popular traditions will hold no secrets for them. From our duty to remember to the joy of knowing, the children will return enchanted by this escapade into history... At the end of the walk, the children will answer a questionnaire in teams. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, the church of Saint-Martin de Daglan has been remodelled many times. It is dedicated to Saint Martin, elected bishop of Tours in 371. This dedication attests that the parish is ancient and that it would exist since the Carolingian period. Of the original construction of the 11th and 12th centuries only the portal and some capitals remain today. The church consisted of a single nave and a small transept. During the reconstruction following the destruction of the Wars of Religion, chapels dedicated to local seigniorial families were added. At the end of the 19th century, taking advantage of the need for repairs, the church was extended by three bays. The bell-tower rises above the choir.
