In the heart of the Périgord Noir, several circuits will allow bikers of all levels to discover an exceptional region. The proposed route n°3 allows you to leave in the hillsides of the valley where the vineyard of Domme used to be located.

Cénac-et-Saint-Julien, the starting point of this hike, is located below the famous bastide of Domme, on the banks of the Dordogne river. Following the river along the cliffs called "pendoilles", you will reach La Roque-Gageac and Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, villages labelled among the "Most beautiful villages of France".

In the footsteps and memories of the dowsers, this trail goes through contrasting horizons and a history whose memory has been preserved by the waters. Between fountains and wash houses, in the freshness of the green valleys or on the gentle slopes on the edge of the causses, enjoy the pleasure of discovery of discovery and a few surprises...

From the Florimont call sign on the Calvaire parking lot. Leave the parking lot and turn right, then left. 150m further on, turn right towards Moncalou.

The commune of Florimont Gaumier, rich in natural and architectural heritage in the Perigord style with Quercy influences, has undeniable assets to attract all the curious. A dynamic around the vineyard confirms the revival of the culture of the vine and the wine of the Country of Domme. Former pilgrimage route of 180 kilometers allowing to join the Périgord to Rocamadour, this magnificent course is from now on marked out, and allows in full safety to cross the vineyards and hills bergeracoises, before skirting the green valley Dordogne and its cliffs, to arrive in the valley of Ouysse.For this 9th stage from Domme, you will visit this bastide also called the acropolis of the Périgord, and then head for Grolejac, not without having admired the view over the Dordogne valley from the panoramic terrace.

The village of Domme, perched on an imposing cliff, is an ancient bastide, registered on the list of the "most beautiful villages of France". The visit of the village allows the discovery of a rich heritage. From the windmill, passing by the 18th century fountains, the milling path leads to the plain of Bord, a vast plateau of 4 km² culminating at 300 meters of altitude. For several centuries, mill workers will, in difficult and dangerous working conditions, extract millstones for the mills of the country and beyond.

Call sign at the pradal car park (outside the bastide). Take the obligatory exit from the car park. Turn left and then right just before the rescue centre. Go down to the crossroads (there is a cross) and go left. Go straight on, you will pass behind the football stadium. Continue for 1.4kms and turn right into the undergrowth (at the village of Ventoulines) You will go down to the place called Reille, and turn left. Go up to the edge plain. Once at the edge of the plain, continue and pass in front of the airfield of Domme Continue for 1.4kms (wide path + road). You will arrive at the top of the Pradal car park.

Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, the church of Saint-Martin de Daglan has been remodelled many times. It is dedicated to Saint Martin, elected bishop of Tours in 371. This dedication attests that the parish is ancient and that it would exist since the Carolingian period. Of the original construction of the 11th and 12th centuries only the portal and some capitals remain today. The church consisted of a single nave and a small transept. During the reconstruction following the destruction of the Wars of Religion, chapels dedicated to local seigniorial families were added. At the end of the 19th century, taking advantage of the need for repairs, the church was extended by three bays. The bell-tower rises above the choir.

The church of St Cyr and Ste Juliette has popular altarpieces. It is Cenac and Saint Julien parish centre. The origins of this old Campanhancum are from a distant past. Set 8 km from Salviac and 15 km from Villefranche, in the woods and on a hill where the landscapes are varied and where changes of scenery are soft. The village has picturesque old houses, opposite a hillside overlooking the road. Its main lords were ""The Belcastel"" who owned a castle of the same name in the Quercy. The school is built on the site of the old castle. The only remains is a pretty vaulted cellar.
