The chapel of Jévaux (also spelled Gévaux) is located in a clearing in the middle of the Vieille Poirière forest, in the municipality of Jouy-sous-les-Côtes, which is where its name comes from. The hemp was drown after its harvest in watering holes, named « roise » to ret (clean fibers). Once tows were ripped off aftter grinding, the hemp could dry facing the sun to be combed and transformed. Today, there are still more than 30 roises to discover at Lucey, along a signposted route. Let yourself be seduced by the discreet charm of Notre-Dame de la Nativité church, a Romanesque treasure nestled in the hills above Écrouves. Listed as a historic monument since 1883, it features a square bell tower with geminated bays, sculpted modillions and murals on the walls.

All that remains of the fortress in Commercy are a few sections of the outer wall which were re-used in the late 17th century as the ground floor of a princely residence.
