Castle Gombervaux

Description

Located 3.5 km north-west of Vaucouleurs, close to the D964 road, Gombervaux Castle is one of the few examples of mediaeval architecture to have been so successfully preserved. Its frontage and keep are majestic and impressive and its rooms are beautifully decorated. It is a 14th-century castle reflected in the waters of its moat and set in a lush green valley.
The castle can be hired for cultural events.
Visits:
- Individual: throughout the year (exterior only).
- Guided tours: 15/03 to 15/10 with advance booking. Also every Sunday in July and August.
