Water garden of the roises
Description
Do you know the « hemp » ? In Lucey, it was grown in the « chenevières » to create rope and household linen. The hemp was drown after its harvest in watering holes, named « roise » to ret (clean fibers). Once tows were ripped off aftter grinding, the hemp could dry facing the sun to be combed and transformed.
Today, there are still more than 30 roises to discover at Lucey, along a signposted route. An original landscape for a bucolic outing.
