Go on the heights around the Rocher de Combau, magnificent panoramas await you on the south of the hauts plateaux du Vercors in particular. Departure of Nonières (parking in the hamlet), direction Col de Côte Chèvre 1. Follow the yellow-green markings and take the path just behind the hotel "Le Mont Barral". Farther on, cut the road to Col de Menée and continue between forests and clearings. The trail follows a wood of spruces and pines with hooks to emerge at the Col de Côte Chèvre. After enjoying the spectacular view, this hike continues through the crossing of a scree before reaching the road at the crossroads Granges de Combau 2. For a moment, take the road that goes around the rock of Combau, to the directional post that tells you Liodève 3. From there, leave the tar for a nice path in the underbrush that runs along the creek of Combau (always yellow and green markings). After crossing the road again twice, reach Liodève. The return to Nonières is effected by the GR 93.

Storm Mount Barral. At the top, admire the Dévoluy massif and its majestic mountains such as the Grand Ferrand and the Aiguilles de Lus. Departure from Col de Menée (parking), take the direction of Mont Barral, passing by The Tunnel 1 then Pré Rond 2. The trail is narrower and the slope gradually increases along the ridge to the summit of Mount Barral 3 (beautiful panorama over the whole region). From there, continue south to reach Crête de Jiboui Crest 4 and then turn to the right to take the GR 93 (white-red markings) for a moment until the Paturage de Jiboui  junction 5. The return to the Col de Menée takes place along a path along the alpine meadows and in the undergrowth (yellow and green markings).

Walk through the wide open spaces of several important alpine pastures. From the passes of Tournerond and La Chante, admire the sumptuous panorama of the peaks surrounding you, you will leave with unforgettable images full head. At the Pont des Amayères (parking), take the path that enters the gorges towards the Bergeries des Amayères 1. To the sheepfolds, the valley separates in two, take the left one which goes towards the Valle de Tranchemule 2, go along a small stream. After crossing the Vallon de Tranchemule, the trail stiffens to reach the Col de Tournerond 3. Join the Col de la Chante 4 crossing the alpine slopes to your right. Once on the ridge, you will descend to the pass. Leave the ridge and descend into the hollow of the valley to reach La Cassa 5. The trail, leading to the foot of the Chevalet mountain, widens and continues for a moment flat, then descends to the crossing of the Reservoir 6. From there, continue straight, cross the hamlet of Sièzes 7 and Chemin des Miellons 8. In the first turn of the road, a path allows to cut the laces to join the Pont des Amayères more quickly.

Discover the charming village of Châtillon and its surroundings by bike and family. Departure from the village of Châtillon, follow the markers n ° 10 of green color. Crossing at the crossroads Le Moulin 1, Champassiasse 2 then Pont de Menglon 3. Return to the village by joining Le Moulin again.

The Archiane Circus has become a breeding ground for the tawny vulture. It combines many assets to generate exceptional aerology and facilitate the flight. The cliffs, their verticality, their extent, their limestone nature and their southern exposure, offer an exceptional habitat. The "Vulture Trail" provides a better understanding of the presence of four species of Vultures present in the Vercors. Departure from Archiane (parking 200 meters before the hamlet), join the first houses by the small road, a directional sign invites you to follow "The Vultures Trail" through L'Aubaise 1. By the GR 93, a path furrowing in the boxwood makes it possible to reach the crossroads of L'Aubaise. From there, leave the GR that goes north and the High Plateaux of the Vercors to Belvedere 2. After a nice break at this beautiful place, continue on the trail always following the yellow and green markings. You soon arrive at the bottom of Cirque d'Archiane. The rest of the path leads gradually to the starting point of this magnificent walk.

Ophrys and Orchis blossom in spring in this untouched space of rare beauty, dedicated to pastoralism and hiking, which gives access to the Vercors high plateaux, the largest nature reserve in mainland France.

This loop begins at the hamlet of Avers, where you can see the vines planted on the south-facing slopes, before climbing to the village of Prébois, where you can enjoy a 360° panorama of the surrounding mountains!

This short pleasant walk takes you through the many vineyards that make up the charming vineyard of Châtillon en Diois. Departure from the Cabanon du Maupas (parking in front of the cellar), take the direction of Châtillon-en-Diois. Always follow the yellow and green markings between the directional signs, take the road for a hundred meters before turning right, between vineyards and crops, then reach a crossroads where a directional panel invites you to continue the walk.1 et le Serre du Poêt 2, ici une halte s'impose. ">The route goes to the right, to reach the Cabanon du Poet 1 and the Serre du Poêt 2, here a stop is required.3 et le Ruisseau du Pibou 4, avant de prendre la direction du Cabanon du Poêt pour rejoindre Beylière 5 et Les Cerisiers 6.">This discovery of the vineyard of Châtillon and its characteristic huts continues through Barsac 3 and the Ruisseau du Pibou 4 before heading towards the Cabanon du Poêt to join Beylière 5 and Les Cerisiers 6. 7 puis le Cabanon du Poêt, le Cabanon du Maupas, le point de départ de la promenade n'est alors plus très loin. There are several paths in the vineyards that can be borrowed, it is up to you to compose your itinerary in the middle of the vineyards and the numerous sheds.

For a few kilometers discover the natural resources of the valley of Jarjatte, a magnificent site classified by the state since 2012, for the recognition of the picturesque of this place and the work done by all the local actors for its safeguarding. From La Jarjatte, follow the GR 93 for 400m towards La Plainie 1. From there, take a path in the woods to reach the Permafrost de Combe Obscure 2. Continue until the Pasture of Mougious 3 and its magnificent panorama, before descending to Ravine de la Chaumette 4 (attention strong slope). Then join the Cascade de Mougious 5 at 200 m. Go back to the Ravin de la Chaumette 6 and head towards La Jarjatte via the Combe Bertin 7. Take the road between Combe Bertin and La Jarjatte for 1.6 km.

A loop starting from Le Percy to discover the hermitage of Esparron, built in the 13th century which played also a role in the resistance during the 2nd World War. From Percy, head towards Esparron via Chabulière, Bayard and Sous l'Ermitage. From Esparron, follow signs to Monestier-du-Percy, via Les Champs, Bois de Xavier In La Selle, then Les Combes, follow signs to Monestier-du-Percy, then Le Percy.

Les gourmands n'ont pas matière à saliver. Les Sucettes de Borne sont en fait des rochers très effilés, en forme de sucette, près du hameau de Borne. Elles sont le fruit de longs processus géologiques, tectonique d'abord (les couches calcaires sont ici redressées à la verticale) et d'érosion ensuite. L'une des curiosités dont la nature n'est pas avare. Un régal pour les yeux, mais aussi pour les grimpeurs.

Perhaps you will have the chance to observe the griffon vultures. Reintroduced in the Vercors in 1999, this scavenger can weigh more than 10 kilos and have a wingspan of up to 2m80. The vultures search for carrion, often where the flocks are found.

In 1860, the Mountain Range Restoration (RTM) services were created, in order to avoid excessive erosion and runoff phenomena, causing torrential lava flows. In order to do so, a policy of reforestation has been launched, as well as the setting of thresholds in the areas of flow. The restoration was particularly important in the Diois.

Every summer the slopes of the Jocou welcome sheep flocks in summer (some cattle on the lower part). The herds maintain these vast alpine pastures, which give a bucolic framework to this hike. Without the maintenance of the alpine pastures, the forest would gradually gain ground.

From the "Vente-Cul" pass, which is often windy, admire the panorama of the Dévoluy, Belledonne and Les Ecrins to the east, to the south is Toussière, while to the west extends the Diois and the pre-Alps South to Ventoux. To the northwest, you see the summit of Jocou.

From the summit of Mont Barral, a remarkable 360 ° view allows you to admire the Mont Aiguille and the Grand Veymont in the North, the Diois in the South-West (the Jocou is very close) and the Dévoluy chain in the South-East, including the beautiful Aiguilles de Lus and its main summit: the Grand Ferrand (2758 m), the second summit of Dévoluy.

The Col de Menée, at 1402 meters above sea level, is a historic crossing point between the Diois and Trièves. For vehicles, the passage of the pass is through the tunnel.

From the Cote de Chèvre pass, admire the panorama on the southern part of the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors nature reserve, but also on the Serre de Beaupuy.

From its height of 1593 m, the Rock of Combau majestically dominates the valley that bears its name. This rocky limestone spur is the fruit of thousands of years of erosion.

Dominated by the Montagnette (1972 m), the sumptuous valley of Combau is a valley in trough (its bottom is flat and its slopes stiff). In the spring, the flora covers the valley: you can admire daffodils, orchids including the hoof of Venus, pines with hooks and a multitude of other species characteristic of mountain flora. In the summer, the valley is a place of grazing for the sheep, which maintain this open space.Attention: Flower picking is regulated.

Campsite under the trees located at the heart of the medieval village of Châtillon-en-Diois, near the river, with shade and a family atmosphere, at the foot of the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors and close to the Clairette and local wines domains. Equipment at the campsite include a snack, a swimming pool with 3 pools and a lane dedicated to swimmers, a boules playing field and multi-sports and tennis court. The campsite offers pitches for tents, caravans, mobil homes and camper vans as well as alternative accommodation: the comfortable and fully-equipped tents Coco Sweets. Walks, hikes and mountain bike trails accessible nearby, some starting from the campsite.

2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and one with a double and a single) in a large, tastefully renovated village house. Breakfast made with wide range of homemade products served on the terrace in Summer with superb mountain views. There is lounge to relax on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find the guest rooms with 2 bedrooms and their bathrooms. The 20m² bedroom has a king size bed and a bathtub in the bathroom. The 32m² bedroom has a bathroom and shower, 2 single beds that can be combined to make a super king size bed, and an extra single bed. The toilet is in the bathroom. You can sunbathe on the deckchairs of our South-East facing terrace on the landing where breakfast is served! There is a living room on the ground floor and separate entrance for the living room and the bedrooms.
