A beautiful ride takes you down to Arras and its hilltop tower in the Rhône Valley before climbing a secret road to admire the Roman church in Vion. At the crossroads in the village centre turn left towards “salle polyvalente, boulodrome, tennis”. 1. 1,1 km Turn left signed up “les Murets” go past the hamlet then straight on heading for Arras-sur-Rhône. 2. 5,9 km Go straight on at the following stop sign and head towards Erôme and Gervans. 3. 6,2 km Turn right onto the ViaRhôna towards Tournon-sur-Rhône. 4. 9,4 km Turn right after the company building Chomette.5. 9,8 km Turn left onto the D86 then immediately right and go into the village. 6. 10,1 km Turn left in front of the townhall towards Bobon. 7. 14,3 km Turn left towards Combalieu, Tirguey. 8. 15,6 km Turn left at the stop sign and continue to Lemps. 9. 16,7 km Turn right opposite the townhall onto “route de Crémolière”. 10. 18,4 km Turn right at the giveway sign. 11. 18,9 km Turn right onto “route du collet” then immediately left. 12. 20,6 km Turn right onto the main road to Cheminas then to Sécheras.

Go looking for the mysterious château de l'Iserand and its tumultuous past history. Go up the main road for fifty metres then turn left uphill going through the village of Sécheras. Go past the townhall then turn left at the cross in front of the school. 1 - Sécheras - 425 m Follow Boffard 1.7 km Cheminas 3.1 km Keep straight on on the small road for 500m. When the road veers right carry on ahead on a track through fields. At the junction continue straight on. Carry on ahead past a path on the right then bear left 50m further on. High-voltage cables are overhead. 2 - Boffard - 445 m Follow Bertha 900m Sécheras 1.6 km Continue on the large path, cross the road to Cheminas and go straight on. Go under the high-voltage cables once again. At the following fork turn left and continue to the road. 3 - Bertha - 428 m Suivre Lemps 3.3 km Go opposite onto the path. At the fork turn left onto the path taking you to the road. Go down the main road for about 100m turning right onto the path l’Iserand just before the houses. Keep following the main path going down into the woods. Cross a stream and go up the other side. 4 - Château d'Iserand - 320 m Follow Vion 4.6 km Continue along the track as far as the château ruins, on your left at a large right bend. Retrace your steps.4 - Château d'Iserand - 320 m Follow Sécheras 2.3 km Keep to the same route as coming until you get to the rambling trail crossroads Bertha. 3 - Bertha - 528 m Follow Sécheras 700m Follow the road to the right back to the village.

A lovely walk through the village of Cheminas, focusing on the lac des Meinettes bathing in its green oasis. 1 - Cheminas - 462 m Follow Ceintres 2.4 km Sècheras 3 km Follow the small road to the left as you leave the village as far as Railles. 2 - Les Railles - 453 m Follow Ceintres 1.6 km Saint Jeure d'Ay 8.7 km Follow the grass path through fields then go downhill through undergrowth and across the pretty little stream. Continue uphill through acacia trees keeping to the main path until you come out of the wood to the plateau. The main path veers to the right as you turn left onto the grass track taking you to the hamlet Ceintres 3 - Ceintres - 430 m Follow Cheminas 6.8 km At the following junction turn right towards ‘sous Ceintres’. On the bend take the path going straight down through fields. The path emerges into a small wood then goes to the edge of the lac des Meinettes. Turn left and go round the lake on the narrow but very pleasant track. 4 – Misery Follow the stream Ozon as it leaves the lake leading to the D17. Turn left and go along the road for a few hundred metres before turning left into l’impasse du pont. When you get to the houses turn right onto the grass path. Go past a sheep enclosure and down into the glen. Over the other side a track takes you up to the hamlet Misery. Follow the small road for about 800m then cross over onto another small road on the left. Take the path on the right going between fields coming out at Fraysse. Go opposite onto the small lane leading to the main road. Turn left on the main road and carry on for a few hundred metres. Turn right and head for the hamlet Pechiot. Continue on the path going down through fields then turn right onto the small lane taking you to Collet. 5 - Collet - 461 m Follow Cheminas 1.6 km Keep to the main downhill path until you get to the woodland then continue on the small road to the left taking you back to the village.

This section of the ViaRhôna cycling trail goes along both terraced vineyards and orchards.The first part in Ardèche, as you come from Lyon, shows how the Rhône river supplies different farming land whether it be the culture of fruit trees, market gardening or vineyards where Saint-Joseph is King. When you arrive in Tournon sur Rhône follow the temporary trail signs to continue. At the dam south of Tournon sur Rhône the track heads to the village of Glun. Two different worlds with the plateau and its pastures and woodland then the hillside with its typical narrow, overhanging roads. On either side vineyards form terraces one of the area’s features. The view overlooking the river Rhône as it meanders is simply splendid. Follow “route de Crémolière” opposite the townhall. 1. 1,7 km Turn right at the giveway sign. 2. 2,2 km Turn right onto “route de Collet” then immediately left. 3. 3,9 km Turn right onto the main road to Cheminas then Sècheras. 4. 6,8 km Turn right signed up Arras-sur-Rhône. 5. 11,9 km Turn right towards Vion then first left to pick up the ViaRhôna. 6. 14,7 km Leave the cycling track and continue on the road straight on.7. 16,9 km Straight on at the stop sign. 8. 17,3 km Turn right onto “chemin des Nautes”. 9. 17,9 km Turn left onto “route du château”. 10. 18 km Cross the D86. 11. 18,2 km Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout heading towards the townhall and straight on on that road (steep uphill slope). 12. 19,1 km Continue uphill on “Côte Sainte-Epine”. 13. 22,2 km Turn right at the stop sign. 14. 25,7 km Turn right to Lemps.

Forget everything as you ride along the small roads of this hilly countryside Go down to the N7 and turn right onto “route de Serves”. 1. 1,4 km Turn left at the stop sign. 2. 1,5 km Turn right onto the N7 then first right going past the old railway station. 3. 2,1 km Turn right onto “route des belvédères” going through Puy-de-Serves. 4. 9,2 km Continue along “route des fruitiers”. 5. 10,5 km Turn left onto the D163 and follow the signs for “Drôme à Vélo” cycling route N°9 classified red for 10km. 6. 21,2 km Turn left onto “route des bois”. 7. 22,9 km Turn right then left at the stop sign and head towards Larnage. 8. 25,4 km Turn right onto “route des Côtes-de-Meyer”. 9. 25,8 km Turn right onto “route des Charrets”. 10. 27,1 km Turn left onto the tourist route. 11. 27,2 km Follow the signs “belvedere de Pierre Aiguille”, continue to Crozes. 12. 31 km Go through Crozes and then straight on. 13. 32,2 km Follow the small road on the right straight after the railway bridge. 14. 33,6 km Turn right at the stop sign and go through Gervans and straight on. 15. 35,5 km Once in Erôme turn left over the railway line and go down “la montée du pavé”. 16. 35,7 km Cross the N7 and continue on ”route de Saint-Antoine”. 17. 36,1 km Turn right onto “route de la plaine”. 18. 36,6 km Turn right onto “chemin des Clots”. 19. 37,1 km Cross the N7 again onto the “rue du cimetière".

An easy walk offering a magnificent panorama of the Vercors and Alps mountain ranges before taking you along the small, pretty and refreshing stream "Le Boras" Head towards the townhall 1 - Etables - 490m Follow Bois de Verne 3.9 km Circuit de la Levée 5 km Go alongside the church then turn left at Tilleul de Sully onto the small road along the château. The trail takes you through fields in open landscape. On the left you overlook the deep dale dug out by the stream Le Boras. Turn left onto the downhill slope when you get to the plot of fir trees. The path zigzags through undergrowth down to the stream. Go up the stream between trees and rocks before crossing over and going up the other side to the hamlet Bois du Verne. On the way you can discover old terraced vineyards. Once at the top, enjoy the beautiful view over the village of Etables. 2 - Bois de Verne - 465 m Follow Etables 1.1 km Keep to the small road until you get to the crossroads of the main road then turn left onto it. 3 - La Chapelle - Bosc - 465 m Follow Etables 400 m

In the heart of Saint-Joseph, on the heights of the village of Saint-Jean de Muzols, Domaine Farge welcomes you to the cellar, by appointment only, to taste its wines (Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Peray, Cornas). The FARGE family acquired vines in Saint-Jean de Muzols in 1920, and it was Guy Farge who founded the Domaine in 2007. His passion for wine quickly led him to expand into Cornas, Saint-Péray, and Condrieu. 2018 marked the beginning of a new chapter in the vineyard's history with the arrival of Thomas Farge, Guy's son, who took over the Domaine and, with his focus on quality, continued the work of the four previous generations. Today, Domaine Farge spans 22 hectares of vines, 6 of which are worked with horses. The remaining vineyards, mostly on slopes, are worked through the strength and passion of the people. Time for a day or half a day, the Train of Ardèche travels the mountainside railway overlooking the Gorges du Doux. Beautiful views and works of art will follow each other on the way in cars registered as French historical monuments. Several trips are available, depending on the season: Le Mastrou: For 130 years, this is the name of the steam train that runs to Lamastre! Covering the entire 28-kilometer line, this historic journey is an unforgettable experience along the Doux valley. After passing through the gorges, the landscape opens up to the surrounding villages, offering panoramic views of the Ardèche countryside, chestnut groves and orchards. A stop at Boucieu le Roi (midway along the route) allows the locomotive to refuel. At the terminus, passengers watch the locomotive turn around at the turntable, and have 3 hours to visit the town of Lamastre and enjoy its many restaurants. Round trip on the day. Le Train des Gorges : Full steam ahead, travelers discover the wildest part of the Doux Gorges, in the heart of the Doux Valley Sensitive Natural Area. The journey ends at the charming little station of Colombier-le-Vieux / Saint-Barthélémy-le-Plain. At its destination, the 44-tonne locomotive is turned around on the swing bridge, manoeuvred by hand! An impressive sight not to be missed before the return journey. Round trip over a ½ day. Day Train + Velorail: Combine the 2 activities Train de l'Ardèche and Vélorail des Gorges du Doux! Departing from Tournon St Jean station, climb aboard the "Mastrou" for a timeless journey. Discover the Gorges du Doux, classified as a Sensitive Natural Area, as far as the picturesque village of Boucieu-le-Roi. Then climb aboard the "pedal carts" for an 8km tour of the upper Doux valley. Cross orchards and enjoy panoramic views of the valley's villages! The Maison du Bailli (Bailiff's House) bears witness to this rich past: listed as a Monument Historique since 1927, this beautiful house, with its corbelled turret, was the seat of the royal court of justice. The irrigation Meinettes Lake is a lake of 14 hectares, was established in 1990. In its green setting, it limits the municipalities of Saint-Jeure d'Ay, and Cheminas. Possibility of hiking, equestrian and mountain biking. Lac des Meinettes is a 14-hectare irrigation lake created in 1990. The changing light brings a touch of poetry to this spot, where you can enjoy the cool breeze in summer. Surrounded by orchards in bloom in spring, the walk offers views of the surrounding bell towers and the Alps in the distance.

Discover the lake of Les Meinettes and its lush green vegetation. The 80s saw a strong development of arboriculture on many farms, with a diversification of production to include cherries, apricots and peaches. Irrigation had to be developed to keep pace with these developments. Lac de Meinettes is an artificial hill reservoir. A compacted earth dam crosses the course of the Ozon river, enabling a large volume of water to be stored by holding back runoff from an 11km2 catchment area. In parallel with the creation of the dam, a huge irrigation network was created, covering 382 hectares of plots. A pumping station extracts the water and sends it into this network. In all, 73 km of pipes supply water to more than 250 farms.

After having crossed the River Ay at Rô Bridge, the road winds up to the ruins of Oriol Tower, which is all that is left of an important mediaeval castle overlooking a cirque of rocks and lush vegetation.

In 8km of Tain l' Hermitage, Serves sur Rhône is situated along the Rhône river and along the axis of the Roman road " Via Agrippa " that connected Lyon with Narbonne. The belvedere of Serves is near the ruins of the castle Delphinal " Castrum Cervia ".

The valley of Cance from Annonay to Rhône is uncommon beauty, its bed is narrow, drawn in granitic rocks. Its natural purity allowed formerly the installation of industries: milling, wool, felt-tip, tanneries.

Built in the 11th century, the chancel and crypt of this magnificent church are classified as historical monuments. Inside, the arches and Byzantine capitels stand side by side with elegant columns and coloured ceilings. Currently closed to the public. The crypt also contains beautiful Carolingian cpaitals and a 10th-century baptismal font.

200m from the hamlet of Vert, this is a pleasant place for walks through woodland and between meadows and fields. The lake doesn't have authority to welcome bathing or boating. On the other hand, fishing is admitted.

The bridge, listed as a Historic Monument and restored to its original condition in 2013, is one of the last remaining structures to showcase the ingenuity of inventor Marc Seguin. The project to restore the suspension bridge at Moulin sur Cance was initiated in 2004 by the Syndicat des Trois Rivières. As well as preserving and enhancing the ‘Seguin’ heritage, this restoration project will also showcase the former industrial site of Moulin sur Cance, which specialised in the production and processing of silk, as well as highlighting the environment of the lower Cance valley, which is wild and remarkable, and part of a ZNIEFF (Zone d'Intérêt Ecologique Faunistique et Floristique). The suspension bridge at Moulin sur Cance, built between 1863 and 1865, is an authentic and rare example of the techniques developed by Marc Seguin. Today, it is the only known structure still using the parallel wire technique, and has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1981. The bridge is 20 metres long and comprises 4 main sections: The deck: the deck is made up of sleepers and two floors. Two guardrails are installed on the deck, acting as stiffening beams to reduce the effects of undulation. The entire structure is made of oak. The masonry: imposing, the masonry is essentially made of stone. It is designed to fully integrate the passage and fixing of the cables. The cables: four cables support the entire structure, two on each side. Each cable is over 38 metres long and weighs 256 kg. They are made of parallel soft iron wire. The principle lies in the fact that each cable is made up of a single wire that is repeated 100 times. These wires are held together by ligatures. The cables are anchored in the bridge piers by metal cylinders embedded in the masonry. Hangers: Hangers use the same principle as cables, but are made up of fewer strands of wire. They split in two at the ends. The top loop is held to the cables by a ‘double stirrup’ and the bottom loop supports the crosspieces.

According to legend, a shepherdess fell into the water. As she fell, she shouted "Aie! Our Lady! Aie!". An invisible hand stopped her fall and she was saved. Hence the name given to the river and the site.

The sanctuary and its Gallo-Roman walls enclose the keep and the ancient buildings of Ay Castle, as well as the chapel. The latter houses a Black Madonna with Child dating from the 17th century - listed statue.

Open from 01 April to 30 September, the « Iserand – Calme et Nature » campsite is located between Ardèche and Drôme, in the heart of the green Ardèche. It has 60 pitches includind 8 comfortable chalets, 4 small chalets, 2 large Lodges tents, and some atypical wooden accommodation for the comfort of cyclists because we are 100 meters from Via Rhona. Nestled on the edge of a huge natural forest and designed as an arboretum, this terraced site overlooks the Rhone and benefits from the favorable climate to the famous “Saint joseph AOC” wine terroir.
