Château Sigalas Rabaud is the smallest estate of the 1855’s “1er Grands Crus”, with 14 hectares in one piece of homogeneous soil. At the heart of this land, you will find the Charterhouse (situated at less than 500 meters from the Château d'Yquem), surrounded by the storehouse and outbuildings. The vineyard is well exposed to the wind, which dry grapes affected by Botrytis cinerea (also known as noble rot). All the conditions are met to achieve excellence... At the south of the Graves region, the vineyard is situated on an exceptional gravelly hilltop. 45ha are shared between the appelations Graves, Sauternes, Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur. The different wines are grown in vats and barrels. Access to the winery and tasting commentedon.

Since the 12th century, the town has been made up of two villages which bore the name of their church: Notre-Dame and St Gervais The first church was rebuilt many times and eight of its former capitals are now on display in the Cloister Museum in New York. It houses a painting by the famous Spanish painter, Zurbarán The city of Langon has a wide range of administrative, cultural and sports facilities. Its famous pedestrian street was renovated in 2017. The banks of the Garonne have also been redeveloped and regularly see sections of the gigantic A380 pass by. From Langon by road bike, the Canal des deux mers in Castets-et-Castillon is within easy reach and the potential starting point for a nice ride.

The convent, established in the 13th century, existed until the Revolution when it was sold as a national asset. In the 19th century, the buildings housed the boys' school, then a college until 1975, before being transformed into a socio-cultural centre, the cultural centre of the Carmelites.

These ladders, located at the corner of rue de la Brèche and rue Laffargue, make it possible to observe the flooding of the Garonne over the years. The most important floods are those of 1770, the most catastrophic, which is erroneously indicated in 1774, and of 1930 and 1982.

This is one of the oldest streets in Langon. Today, this pedestrian street is the main thoroughfare and is the main commercial axis. The gabled houses that lined it have mostly been demolished, but there are still some period facades.

The construction of this church began in the 13th century with the chevet to the east. Work was stopped on the corner pillars of the choir and the transept and was not resumed until two centuries later. During the troubles of the Fronde, in the 17th century, some parts of the church disappeared, as did the vaults of the nave. The construction was finally completed in 1847. The bell tower, strongly inspired by the cathedral of Chartres, was built in 1861 The church has a "Cavaillé Coll" organ dating from 1857 which marries the rounded lines of the rose window and a painting by Francisco de Zurbaran.

1661. Zurbaran. This work was discovered in 1966 by the parish priest. The painting appeared all dusty on a wall of the sacristy. It was cleaned and restored in Glérancourt (Aisne). It was the object of a donation made in 1863 by Émile Pereire, the member of parliament for the riding at that time. The painting is classified as a Historic Monument as an object.

A first structure, a suspension bridge, was built in 1831 to cross the Garonne at this location. It was replaced by a metal Eiffel-type bridge. Of the two piers, remnants of the "Eiffel" bridge, one was destroyed to improve navigation conditions on the Garonne, in particular for the routing of A380 parts.
