Courseulles-sur-Mer is one of the most fashionable and lively seaside resorts on the Côte de Nacre. It lives to the rhythm of its fishing port. On the dyke, dogs must be kept on a lead. Don't forget to bring a dog excrement bag! The tourist office of Courseulles-sur-Mer distributes them free of charge. Horses: Horses are allowed outside the bathing areas at low tide. Bicycles: Bicycles are not allowed on the sea wall. However, just a stone's throw from the beach is the Vélomaritime with a cycle path along the Avenue de la Combattante and along the seafront from the Cap Fun campsite to the Parc de l'Edit. It is then possible to cycle to Bernières-sur-Mer. Courseulles-sur-Mer is on the Vélomaritime route. This 1,500 km long cycle route from Roscoff to Dunkirk passes through mythical sites such as the D-Day landing beaches, Mont-Saint-Michel and the cliffs of Etretat. Access for people with disabilities: Tiralo available at the lifeguard station only during the beach surveillance period. There is a carpet for access to the beach.

The present church dates back to 1786. The previous church was located in the graveyard near the castle. The central alley in the graveyard corresponds to the outline of the first church. There are also old tombstones of former priests. As it had fallen into disrepair, it was destroyed by a fire and storm.

Here you will find an exhibition of traditional Norman objects, multi-coloured lace (from the manufacture of Courseulles lace), boat models of the Labrèque brothers and tools from the old shipyard.

In 1785, the old church in Courseulles then located near the cemetery was at risk of collapsing. The central path of the cemetery corresponds to the outlines of the early church. It is also possible to see old tombstones of priests. Too dilapidated, it was destroyed by a storm and fire. It was then decided to build a new church in Clos Lucas at the heart of the village. In 1786, the new church was in the hands of carpenters and roofers. In this church you will find a large canvas given by Emperor Napoléon III in 1869 "Saint-Sixte and Saint-Laurent".

On 14 June, the ship "la Combattante" embarked General de Gaulle for his first return to France from England to Courseulles-sur-Mer This ship then sank in the North Sea in 1945 Five steles line the avenue that bears his name to pay tribute to the missing sailors and General de Gaulle.

Commemorative signs on the theme of the "Combattante": a vessel that took part in the operations on 6th June 1944. On 14th June, it took Général de Gaulle from England to Courseulles-sur-Mer for his first return to France. Road studs are used to follow the path of signs along the avenue.

This tank was recovered from the sea in 1970. The Duplex Drive Sherman (DD) is the most famous in a range of special tanks employed by the Allied forces. Its name is due to the dual propulsion system : by track on land and by propeller at the sea, and equipped with flotation system. "Bold" is a memorial to the 1 st Hussars, which also bears the insignias of the Canadian regiments which took part in the D-Day landings and the Battle Normandy.
