Description of the workshops


These are the workshops I'm offering this year.

I believe that creativity encourages originality and, above all, freedom. When the imagination is set free, anything is possible.

The privilege of the plastic arts is that they bring together and merge many different ways of working with matter. It's not a question of working with one technique at a time, but rather of touching on everything.

That's the direction I'm taking with the workshops. This year I've decided to add a special touch by choosing scrapbooking. It offers an exclusive touch. ‘Staging an idea’ and linking introspection with thought. The ignored mysteriously unravels towards the discovery of the visible.

Sculpture, collage, painting, drawing, assembly, digital manipulation - all these materials, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some, can be used to shape a desire, an art project. The workshops help to develop each person's artistic identity. The idea is that no limits should imprison the mind. The aim is to awaken the senses and awareness, because it's not always about achieving beauty, but about being able to explain your intention.

So, as you can see, I'd like to focus my workshops on scrapbooking. The principle of scrapbooking is to stage one or more ideas. It reveals a place for creativity, awakens inventiveness and also reveals an artistic style. Creating and using your creative skills can bring you feelings of satisfaction, well-being, a sense of achievement and, most importantly, it's very accessible. There's something for all ages and tastes.
And for those who want to devote themselves to this art form, the year-round workshops will feature paper-mâché sculptures, and a glimpse into the world of the visual artist.
