The particularity of this path is the commune of Saint-Gervais which was attached to Videix in 1829. To see: the church rebuilt in 1458, the wash house, the fountain, built in a spade with a coping and famous for nosebleeds.

The castle and its powerful keep now houses the workshop-museum of the weavers and the charentaise, which traces the history of textiles in the region. A street leads down to the "Crochet" stream which hosts the Lud? eau vive.

During this hike, you will discover the soul of the Green Perigord which was one of the cradles of the iron and steel industry in France. The economic activity of the region was essentially based on its forges! The Etouars forge made cast iron and naval cannons for the Rochefort arsenal. The church of Notre-Dame, one of the most important and beautiful in the Périgord, was part of the Benedictine abbey of Cluse in Piedmont It is a pure Romanesque edifice with its barrel vaults, round arches, pillars, 28 capitals, its primitively flat buttresses that characterize the 12th and 13th centuries and its magnificent 12-branch rose window from the 15th century. At the end of the 15th century, part of the windows were widened and, faced with the threat of the Wars of Religion, the church was hastily fortified and provided with machicolations The superb portal is reminiscent of the Angoumoisin style by the finesse of its sculpture.

Located in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, the ancient fruit orchards of Étouars and Soudat are both part of the network of the Aquitaine Regional Plant Conservatory. In Étouars, pome fruits are in the spotlight: on an area of almost one hectare, walk among more than 30 varieties of apple trees, as well as pear trees, fig trees and vines. In Soudat, discover old varieties of stone fruits such as peach or nectarine. In both orchards, the trees come in many shapes, high stems or palisaded forms. Would you like to know more? Take part in technical days in the spring (grafting, pruning, etc.) or in the Étouars orchard discovery day organised in October: at the end of a guided tour, various activities are on offer (identification workshops, tastings, conferences, etc.).

Dedicated to Saint-Pierre, Maisonnais sur Tardoire's church was first built in the 11th century, then enlarged in the 16th century and repaired in 1733. The bell tower, destroyed by lightning in 1820, retains a floor dating back to the origins of the building. It features three Romanesque arcades on each side. A small wooden belfry tops the west end of the nave. A simple door opens onto the 11th-century nave. This communicates with the 16th-century nave, which features three pointed arches. On the other hand, the 16th-century nave has three bays with ribbed vaults, liernes and formets, as well as escutcheons decorating the keystones of the vault. The church's furnishings include a 12th-century limestone sarcophagus and a Roman vat.

The house (1866) and inn are located in the heart of our farm. We produce poultry and goat meat. As far as possible, the raw materials cooked at the inn come from our own farm.
