The Vézelay Way is a major pilgrimage route used by some 1,000 pilgrims every year from northern Europe to Vézelay, the main departure point for Compostelle. The route enters Périgord via La Coquille. From La Coquille to Thiviers, you'll notice "la pierre à cupules", the stuff of many legends. Have one counted if you meet a local. Arriving in Thiviers, admire the Saint Roch cross at the traffic circle. At the Tourist Office, gourmets visit the foie gras museum, while others take a break on the pilgrim's benches. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary and take a stroll in ecomobility!

From the train station of La Coquille (shops and services), you will take small roads and paths to arrive on one of the vastest expanses of water of the Department and its dam: the water level of Miallet.

The Vézelay route is one of the great pilgrimage routes used by a thousand pilgrims each year who come from the north of Europe before entering France and reaching Vézelay, one of the great departures identified for the French routes. This route enters the Périgord via La Coquille. From La Coquille to Thiviers, you will notice the "cupule stone", which is the subject of various legends. Make yourself count one if you cross someone of the country When you arrive in Thiviers, you will admire the Saint Roch cross at the roundabout. At the Tourist Office, the gourmets will visit the museum of foie gras, the others will make a pause on the benches of the pilgrim.

The Vergnelibert gite is an independent house in front of the owners' house which has three rooms for six people. Shared swimming pool, secured by a tarpaulin and fence, open from June to the end of September.

We spent almost 2 years renovating it to make it even more comfortable. The single-hectare plot has become a veritable plant laboratory, where we have planted almost 200 different species. We strive to protect this ecosystem by maintaining the park in a responsible manner: no pesticides, late mowing to preserve natural areas, planting local and exotic non-invasive species and composting. We minimize our impact by using natural soaps and cleaning products. The house has now become Le Gîte du Parc, so that other lovers of greenery and tranquillity can also enjoy it!

Our family campsite is located in the middle of the Périgord Limousin regional nature park. We have tried to create a place of relaxation and calm. Far away from the hectic everyday life, here you can enjoy the nature, the space, a family breakfast, a good walk, a few hours by the pond or just a good book. While the children are playing with each other.

The campsite is located on the edge of a small village in the middle of the Périgord Vert, on 10.5 ha and has 40 pitches. It is important to us that the family atmosphere remains, even in our campsite. The pitches have a minimum surface of 100m², and are delimited by bushes or trees.

Miallet's Dam: Don't forget your binoculars! A family friendly hiking trail of 9km meanders round the lake. If you are quiet you may see grey herons, mallards, great crested grebes, or even during the migration period, cranes.

Located in the heart of the Périgord Vert, the Miallet reservoir was created between 1988 and 1992 to support the low water flow of the Côle and Dronne rivers and thus enable the irrigation of cereal crops. In 1998, the site was classified as a Sensitive Natural Area (ENS) and beyond its initial vocation, it allows the preservation of aquatic species and the regular presence of sedentary or migratory waterfowl. With a track of about 8 km (PDIPR) around the reservoir, the dam is a place for walks, educational outings (interpretation trail, ornithological observatory, ...)

Jeanne and Germain are farmer-bakers. They produce their own cereals, grind them into flour and transform it into delicious organic bread. You can find them at the Thiviers market on Saturday mornings, at Saint Jean de Côle on Wednesday mornings and at Marval (87) on Sunday mornings.

Florence and Simon raise cows. The couple offer cheeses and meat parcels sold directly from the store on Fridays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. You can also find them at the Thiviers and Miallet markets.

Direct sale at the farm. Producer of sheep meat : proposal of vacuum-packed half-lamb, as well as plain and flavored sausages, merguez and minced steak. Contact only by phone.

Originally from the Basque Country, we took over a dairy farm in Saint Saud Lacoussière, which we converted to organic farming. Nestled in the heart of the Périgord Limousin regional nature park, our production is certified "Lait de foin". We produce yoghurts and pasteurized milk in bottles. Sale at the farm from Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 7pm, all year long. Visits to the farm by appointment. Murielle and Philippe will make you discover their job and their breeding.

A private pond of 3,5ha in Perigord Vert to practice fishing in particular for carp, sturgeon, grass carp, koi, carnivore and roach in no-kill mode with 6 posts available. You will be charmed by this little corner of paradise. You will find water, electricity and sanitary facilities on site.

Thomas offers a variety of seasonal vegetables. You can find him at the Coquille market on Thursday mornings and Tuesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 pm along the elementary school fence. You can also order baskets from him.

Christophe decided to return to his roots on his grandparents' farm. Little by little, saffron became a professional story. He also makes jams with saffron and various fruits.

Welcome to the farm of Tintin and Flo. Come and discover my know-how and grandmother poultry. Sale at the farm by appointment and by order except in July and August. Aurore will be happy to explain her job to you.
