Just a few kilometers from Arras lies the Bois de Maroeuil. A number of trails are available, including the Sittelle loop. Approximately 1.2 km in length, it is ideal for people with reduced mobility and the visually impaired.Along the way, you'll come across some remarkable trees, see the historic remains of the site, notably the sandstone extraction pits, and perhaps catch a glimpse of a deer or squirrel, both of which are very present on the site.In spring, daffodils and hyacinths brighten up the walk. The compacted limestone surface is passable all year round, and the breadcrumb trail guides you along the path.

This trail, which passes through varied surroundings, will take you to the sites of three nearby abbeys: Mont-Saint-Eloi, Etrun and Maroeuil. There you will discover some ruins that managed to survive the destruction of the revolution. The trail is certified by the French Federation of Hiking (FFRP).

De Bruay-la-Buissière, l'EurVelo 5 permet de rejoindre Lens, puis Wingles. Entre histoire, mémoire, nature et patrimoine, ce tronçon de l'EV5 ne manque pas de paysages divers et variés. A Bruay, arrêtez-vous pour visiter le musée de la mine ou encore la Cité des Electriciens avant de poursuivre votre route. En chemin, vous verrez les terrils du pays à part. Faites un saut au parc d'Olhain ou continuez votre route jusqu'à Lens. Une fois là-bas, ne manquez pas la visite du musée du Louvre-Lens, ou encore la découverte des terrils jumeaux et de la base 11/19. Entre voies douces et voies partagées cette partie de l'EV5 traverse une partie du Bassin Minier avant de rejoindre le département du Nord.

The village of Sibiville lies at the heart of a narrow wooded valley through which flows the Ayres stream, which feeds into the Canche. Situated on the banks of the River Canche between Frévent and Hesdin, Boubers, France's 1st "Village Fleuri" in 1959, continues to attract visitors thanks to the "4 flowers" it won in the Concours National des Villes et Villages Fleuris and the "Fleur d'or" in 2015, awarded to 9 French communes. Conchy developed along a coastal river, the Canche. This river, renowned for its trout, allowed mills and their activities to develop, as evidenced by the former sawmill, now a cultural centre. The heart of the village is laid out around an oval plan, where the civil, religious and economic life of the community was organised. Its heritage is rich in traditional rural dwellings, old farms and smallholdings, and of course the church, the old presbytery and the school. Nostalgic for the "route des villages fleuris", which in the 1970s, along with Boubers, was the valley's main tourist attraction, Conchy embarked on the flower scheme in 2005, quickly obtaining its 3 flowers, and finally the 4th in 2012, a case of rapidity that is unique in France! The Autumn Garden Festival is held every year on the 2nd Sunday in October and attracts a large number of nurserymen and plant lovers.

Siracourt is a unique example in the region of a village that suffered 100% devastation during the Second World War.
