Join the northern end of the Vercors massif, at the Dent de Moirans, you will be like on the prow of a boat, overlooking the valley of Isère. Departure from Montaud (parking village), take the direction of the Dent de Moirans 5. Always follow the yellow and green markings between each directional panel. Go to Côte Maillet 1 and La Combe 2, then go on the right to join Beugnet 3. The pleasant path continues northwards with an unavoidable stop at the point of view of the Bois Vert (landscape reading table). Arrived Sous la Dent 4, take on the right the path that leads to the Dent de Moirans and its exceptional belvedere (caution caution when approaching the cliff, especially with children!).To return to the village of Montaud, from Sous la Dent take the direction of Saint-Quentin. The path winds through the beeches and spruces before returning to an open environment and reaching les Maîtres 6. From there, rally Montaud passing by Chausson 7, the hamlet of Fayard, before returning to La Combe then Côte Maillet. The village is no longer very far.

The tourist and cultural site of the Caves de la Chartreuse invites you to discover the world of liqueur, the exceptional heritage and the know-how of the Carthusian monks through a new series of guided tours. As you enter this new museum space, you will stroll through the old production site in 7 spaces that symbolize the major periods in the history of Chartreuse liqueurs. From the origins of the Elixir to the birth of the liqueur or the foundation of the brand, you will be able to see nearly 1200 original pieces, never before exhibited. The tour continues through a space entirely dedicated to the plants that represent the basis of the manufacture of the monks' liqueurs. Here, all your senses will be awakened, you can taste, see, touch and smell. Before entering the historic cellar of Voiron, you will cross the atrium which gives pride of place to the Chartreuse massif, where the monks have been living for nearly a thousand years. Your visit will end with a tasting of traditional green and yellow liqueurs or non-alcoholic herbal tea.

The museum, created in 1989, is located in an old house in the Saint-Bruno district. It presents the studio fund of the painter Lucien Mainssieux and the collection of works he built up throughout his life, mainly paintings from the 19h and 20th centuries. Throughout his life, Lucien Mainssieux (1885-1958) collected works dating from the end of the 19th century, as well as those of his fellow students. He had an obsession : to create a museum for these works and to be its custodian… This collection is the testimony of the glance of the artist on the art, so its interests for the landscape painters of the XIX° century, for the Orientalist works as well as for his contemporaries and friends.

A rare 11th-century Romanesque church listed as a Historic Monument, open to visitors and hosting one of France's oldest Chamber Music Festivals, free concerts and temporary contemporary art exhibitions. The King's bedroom, impressive and majestic room, called like that because the King Louis XIII slept there in 1622, has kept its original aspect and part of its furniture. You will then reach the White Room, which should have been a chapel. The visit touch to its end near the dungeon, which is now a memorial place dedicated to the Resistance during German's occupation from 1940 to 1944.
