Hiking trail "The Causses trail" A small village perched on the remains of the old fortress, Montmurat is strongly influenced by the southern climate, which has given it an extraordinary flora: lily of the valley, boxwood, wild asparagus, vines and orchids. This path allows you to discover a past full of history and magnificent views of the Don Gorge. Mountain bike route "From Montsalvy to the Goul Valley”. Starting near the castle built on the ancient ramparts of the medieval village, this itinerary offers the opportunity to discover Montsalvy. This is an accessible and fairly easy route which offers beautiful panoramas, in particular that of the Puy de l'Arbre, which dominates this area from the top of its 830 m. This route will then offer mountain bikers beautiful views of the mountains and valleys, with several forest passages punctuating the route.

AIR LE PARC is located in a beautiful former 19th-century notary's residence, the base of which dates back to 1596, adjoining a park surrounded by old stone walls, in PAMPELONNE (Tarn), a 13th-century bastide town. The residence has been open since 2006. Artists' residency, project and research centre for professional artists working in all disciplines (design, painting, visual arts, music, writing, theatre, dance, film, multimedia, etc.). Situated in the north of the Aveyron, 10 km from the famous village of Conques, Château de Sénergues has only been open to the public since 2023. The family who have owned it for 7 centuries welcome you on certain days to visit the 24-metre-high keep and its beautiful interior rooms, and enjoy the magnificent 360-degree view. Self-guided tours are available during the day (Saturdays and sometimes Wednesdays) and evening tours are organised on some Friday evenings, offering a magnificent panoramic view at sunset. Group visits possible, calendar available on the website. You need to be in good physical condition to visit the keep, and the visit is not recommended for people suffering from claustrophobia or extreme vertigo. The tour is open to children aged 10 and over.

The scenographic space of the Lot Valley will take you into the life of the men of the valley at the beginning of the last century, through dynamic and interactive staging! Visit of the medieval fortress of Vieillevie (11th-13th centuries) in July and August. Storytelling tours (in French): Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5pm. Places are limited, so bookings must be made by text message or e-mail. The castle dominates the Lot Valley from its high towers. It is an authentic defensive fortress: sentry walks, archways, and defensive hoardings. Above the lower rooms carved into the rock, you will discover the large Renaissance rooms with their finely sculpted mullioned windows and their monumental 13th century fireplaces, among the oldest in France.

Saint-Santin is an unusual village. It's hard to imagine driving through it, given its modest size, the fact that it is divided into two communes and straddles two départements and even two regions!

About 30 species of wild orchids are present on these few hectares which gather a quarter of the French flora and more than half of the Auvergne flora in orchids. The climate of the limestone mounds (former lake basin) located between Saint-Santin-de-Maurs and Montmurat is one of the mildest and driest in Cantal. These conditions give the landscapes, agriculture and natural environments a pronounced southern character. Free access on foot from the village of Saint-Santin-de-Maurs. The animal and plant species living on this Natura 2000 site are protected, so be careful.

A fun discovery site dedicated to Auvergne chestnuts. Immerse yourself in the world of the Maison de la Châtaigne, a living reminder of the chestnut-growing past: a 1950s grocery store, bread oven, chestnut dryer, underground galleries, gardens, tree nursery, and animals... Discover the culture of chestnut trees from yesterday to today and watch chestnut flour being made in our processing workshop. Savour a local specialty, explore the gourmet shop with its wide range of chestnut-based products, and enjoy a moment of relaxation in the coffee corner, overlooking the landscape of the Châtaigneraie Cantalienne. Wooden games, a parent-powered merry-go-round and little discoveries will delight the whole family!

Sénezergues is located South of the natural region of Veinazès, in the Southern part of the Châtaigneraie. The village above the Auze river is connected to two important hiking paths, crossing the diversity of the Châtaigneraie landscapes.

L'Auberge de Mourjou, with its restaurant and guest rooms, has been open since 18 March 2024. Daily menu (€19,90) from Monday 12pm to Friday 2pm. The chef's menu consists of a choice of two starters, a choice of two main courses and a choice of two desserts. The menu changes every 2 weeks according to the season and her inspiration. You can also make the most of our shaded terrace in fine weather.

L’Auberge Fleurie is a charming Cantal stopover in the area of the River Lot and the River Truyère, at an altitude of 800 m. A good fairy seems to have bent over this inn, which offers an enthusiastic table where terroir and modernity go hand in hand! The inn also has a remarkable wine cellar.
