Maison de la Châtaigne
Description
The Châtaigneraie Ecomuseum.
A playful discovery of the chestnut production history and present in the region. A 1950s grocery store, an oven, a typical chestnut dryer, a medieval tunnel, but also an orchard, a tree nursery and diverse animals complete the tour. You will taste a chestnut specialty and you will find a range of chestnut products in the shop.
April, May & June: open every day 2pm-6pm except Mondays.
July & August: open every day 1:30pm-6:30pm.
From September to 11/11: open every day 2pm-6pm except Mondays.
Discovery path on the shady banks of the Célé (“Les Trésors du Haut-Célé”, 3,2 km).
