the chestnut. The museum, processing workshop and activities highlight this emblematic fruit and the
heritage of the Châtaigneraie area of Cantal.
Immerse yourself in the world of the Maison de la Châtaigne, a living reminder of the chestnut-growing past: a 1950s grocery store, bread oven, chestnut dryer, underground galleries, gardens, tree nursery, and animals...
Discover the culture of chestnut trees from yesterday to today and watch chestnut flour being made in our processing workshop.
Savour a local specialty, explore the gourmet shop with its wide range of chestnut-based products, and enjoy a moment of relaxation in the coffee corner, overlooking the landscape of the Châtaigneraie Cantalienne.
