Located in the Béarn region of France, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary dates back to the 12th century. In particular, the nave and lower section are built in sandstone medium bond with stain marks. The north aisle was added in the 15th or 16th century. The church is elongated in plan, with a round apse and a bell-wall. Bolt holes are visible on the façade. Restored in the 19th century, admire the altar-gradin-tabernacle dating from the second half of the 18th century, and the 19th-century discoidal sandstone funerary stelae.

Laurent and Murielle's passion for vines and wine is based in Cabidos, in the north-east of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. They began drawing up plans, looking for opportunities to produce a quality wine within everyone's reach. In 2004, after renting old plots of vines that had not yet been harvested, they vinified their first vintages in the old henhouse... and the Escudé adventure began with its famous "Pin'up" wines! In 2024, Laurent was named Winemaker of the Year by the Guide Hachette des Vins.

From 1955, kept the name and partly resumed the plan of an old ruined church that was destroyed shortly after 1952. The present church would have reused stones from the old one. Elongated single-ship plan, south side porch, bell tower-wall, covered gable, polygonal rump and lean-to.

The Garos museum retraces the history of this unique craft. Until the early 20th century, women in Garos and Bouillon in northern Béarn practiced the art of pottery.
