The Manoir du Désert, listed as a Monument Historique in 1928, was built for the Le Danois brothers, a family of shipowners from Honfleur. It is representative of the noble architecture of the late Middle Ages in the Pays d'Auge. Its materials and structure bear witness to the skills and importance of the building at the time. The first floor is composed of a checkerboard pattern of limestone and flint. The upper floor is timber-framed. A staircase turret is attached to the main façade. The lookout room at the top was used to keep an eye on the Seine estuary. This room contains numerous marine graffiti. Owned by Mademoiselle TURGIS in the 1920s, it became the property of the City of Honfleur in the 1970s following a donation by the Société du Vieux Honfleur, Mademoiselle TURGIS's legatee. It was recently restored by the town in 2021. The manor house can only be visited on certain occasions. We offer one guided tour per month during the season (full price: 6 ? reduced price: 4 ?). Old Railway Station's Bunker. This 350 m² vestige of World War II brings together period clothing, photographs and documents. In a 350 m2 Luftschutzbunker-type blockhouse that could accommodate around 200 soldiers back in 1942, you will find: - period outfits, documents and photographs, - objects and badges from the Manuel Badal collection, - models and dioramas illustrating different periods of the Second World War, - a 45-minute film recounting the testimonies of the Liberation by liberators and civilians, - a tribute to the three FFI police officers arrested in this blockhouse and shot on August 24, 1944: Armand Hiaux, Edmond Rouillié and Léon Labalette.

These gardens are perfect for a quiet stroll in the heart of Honfleur's historic centre. Blend history and culture with a walk along the water, which features a 'zen' area for a serene interlude. Located on an arm of the Claire, the garden has several promontories and superb views of the river. This 7,000m² urban park has been designed and developed by the various municipal services: gardeners, builders, carpenters, electricians, etc. The technical services teams used materials found on site to restore the gardens, meaning the low walls retain their original charm. The remains of former tanneries were also found during the renovation works. The specific location of these gardens was chosen so they could be by two streams. You can now admire the dye vats and a network of canals in the garden. Works by Annick Leroy The artist Annick Leroy was asked to create works inspired by this space. Michel Lamarre, Mayor of Honfleur, wanted, in a town that has inspired so many artists, to put art at the heart of this space to give it an even more soulful feel. Annick Leroy created a mosaic fresco recalling the work of the tanners and dyers that once practised their craft here. She also designed two fountain sculptures: -4 water-spouting geese - a child with an umbrella and a giant mosaic-covered snail.
