Built by the transient fortune of two financiers at the end of Louis XIV’s reign, this chateau is a model of eighteenth century architecture and decoration. The most famous occupier was the Marquise de Pompadour, who rented the chateau for three years in 1757, spending a considerable amount on it. From departmental park of La Bergère, continue on the cycle track along the canal up to the bridge of Sevran (8 km). From there, the least sports can join the RER(REGIONAL EXPRESS NETWORK) B at the station of Sevran-Livry. The bravest will continue up to the park of la Poudrerie mill to Sevran (500 m). Situé pas loin du centre-ville, entre la Mairie et le château, il accueille aujourd'hui l'espace Chappe dédié au télégraphe, l'espace Louis Théophile Hingre grand sculpteur du XIXe siècle et Léon Hingre, son fils, grand artiste du XIXe siècle également. Au rez-de-chaussée, vous pourrez savourer une boisson chaude ou froide tout en laissant votre regard sillonner la pièce à la découverte de reproductions de tableaux des peintres d'Ecouen comme l'italien Chialiva Luigi, les français Pierre-Edouard Frère, Charles Bertrand d'Entraygues ou encore Paul François Seignac ou encore des vitraux réalisés par l'atelier de Vitrail de l'association Escale.
