A nice discovery walk on the theme of fauna and flora: from geology to the exploitation of water resources, through the fauna and flora, the many signposts will present to you the main characteristics and interpretation the landscape. Easy hike with some elevation changes. Parking: in the parking lot of the cemetery, then along the Mill you will find the start of the circuit.

Come to the discovery of the Provencal and medieval village of Grimaud! Get lost in the alleys or follow the proposed circuit, which takes about 1 hour. A Provencal village full of flowers and stone houses. Do not miss the most important monuments: the castle dating back to medieval times, the Church of St. Michel and the Penitents Chapel. Grimaud is a village of art and several art galleries; one should make a detour there. Feel free to come and collect the explanatory brochure at the Tourist Office!

Discover the plains and charming neighborhoods at the south of the village. The splendid view of the village and the surrounding hills adorns this walkway. Easy hike: Depart from in front of the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions (chemin de l'Enclos) Parking in the underground parking (free from October to March).

The Panoramas of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and Cavalaire Bay lead you from the village of Gassin to La Croix-Valmer through forest and rural landscapes and beautiful views. This hiking trail takes up part of the GR 51 and offers splendid views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Bay of Cavalaire, the Pays des Maures, and the villages Gassin and Grimaud.

From the hilltop village, the path leads you to the sea, offering remarkable views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. You arrive at the Marines de Gassin and its shops passing near the Bourrian wineyard estate and the Stud / Polo Club. The return path is accessible to hikers, mountain bikers and riders who will appreciate the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. This beautiful airy and shaded track offers you a glimpse of the diversity of the Gassin flora (pine forest, vineyard, oaks, broom, laurels). You can enjoy the beach and swimming (supervised in season) before your return. Practical information : In summer, be sure to inform yourself before your departure that the trail is not closed because of the fire risk (information on the Var prefecture website or at the tourist office). You will find a small watch on your route that you can bypass if necessary by taking a path a little further to the right. Also be careful during hunting not to take the trail if it is blocked. Be careful when crossing country roads without a protected passage. The path allows you to join the protected multimodal track to reach Port Grimaud on your left and Saint-Tropez on your right. Course: • from Place Louis Collomp, descend towards the cemetery and go around it on the left (passage in front of the monument to Saint Joseph) by following the sign "Villevieille"; • take the path on the left (50 m) then follow the Villevieille track; • follow this track for 2.5 kilometers (you pass near the Brûlat mill and then the Heraklée villa, former property of Gunther Sachs when it conquered the heart of Brigitte Bardot); • cross the Bourrian road and find a path a few meters on your left which, after a lookout, takes you to Chemin de la Plaine, through the vineyards of the Bourrian domain (1.15 km); • arrived at the RD98a near Interhome, follow the sidewalk on your right (170 m) (Note: the La Foux shopping center is on your left about 300 m). • turn left at the roundabout towards the Marines de Gassin (180 m); • at the second roundabout, go straight past the shops of the Marines de Gassin (Bar-tabac des Marines, Tour de Pizz ', Ciao Belli; on Place Le Pitchoun, Sandrée Coiffure, the May Flower laundromat) ; • you can then continue to the beach (200 meters on the right). You will find the Marines and the port of Cogolin on your left.

At the roundabout, opposite the Tourist Office, take Boulevard Tabarin down towards "Tabarin, Vergeron, Gigaro". Turn right into "Rue de l'Eglise" and then take the next turning on the right. At the crossroads, take the footpath opposite on the right, signposted "Plage". Follow the vines on your left. At the crow's feet, take the green lane on your left. Cross the stream on your left, then take the path on your right between the vines. Cross the other stream and take the track in front of you. When you reach the Plage du Débarquement, return to the roundabout and take the Boulevard de la Mer (opposite you, to the left of the Intermarché supermarket) as far as the intersection with the dual carriageway. Turn right towards "Le Village". After the Boulevard de Tahiti, you'll find the picnic and cycle area. Walk along the children's square on the right and continue straight on until you reach the Tourist Office.

Go back to the Gallo-Roman era with a tour of the Roman archaeological crypt! GO BACK TO THE GALLO-ROMAN TIMES WITH A TOUR OF THE ROMAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL CRYPT AND FISHPONDS! This crypt, found during excavations in 2010 and 2012, is a unique remnant dating back to the Roman colony, Forum Julii. The pink sandstone from the Esterel Massif mountains was used to build the crypt as well as all the old monuments in Fréjus. At the heart of the crypt you will be able to admire the fish pond, the water system, the aqueduct's arches and the big collector, all survivors from past centuries. Port Grimaud, one of the most famous lakeside towns in the world, and all this after only fifty years of existence. A colourful port, nicknamed ‘Little Venice of Provence’ and awarded the ‘Heritage of the 20th Century’ label, that never ceases to amaze. Port Grimaud came to life on the Côte d'Azur, and its canals will no doubt remind you of the City of the Doges... But it's a project designed to take root in Provence that the architect, François Spoerry, has led.

The former Château Bertaud beach is shared between Cogolin and Gassin. It offers 400 meters of sand with a beautiful panoramic view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Supervised beach on the Cogolin side in summer, with showers, toilets and restaurants. Close to the RD 98a and easy to get to, but away from road traffic, Plage des Marines has a parking lot, and all the shops you need are nearby: restaurants, tobacconist, laundrette, mini-market, as well as Port-Cogolin nearby with the Bateaux Verts shuttle service. On the beach, restaurants are open in season, as well as a beach volleyball court and showers. On the Cogolin side, bathing is supervised from June 15 to September 15. On the Cogolin side, an information desk is also open in season.

The Bertaud Castle is a building which dates back to the XVI century. It was situed on an inhabited territory since at least the gallo-roman era. The occupation of the Bertaud site is old: the presence of pillar bricks and eleven Roman coins was described in the 19th century and, during work at the torpedo plant in 1970, coins were found, as well as a Gallic amphora and ceramics. These relics seem to indicate the existence of a villa similar to several others found in this area of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. This castle was built by the lords of Bertaud, of the parish of Gassin, in the 16th century. The lords of Bertaud were colords of Gassin until the sale of this land by the Marquis de Grimaud to Antiboul de Saint-Tropez. The castle was located near the shore, used for the anchoring of boats, at the bottom of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. It housed two mills at the tip of Bertaud, a fountain and a chapel. During the development of tourism in the 19th century, the castle became the property of the Lyon families Peissonneaux and Janmot. Lyonnais artist Louis Janmot stayed here and made "very happy reproductions" of them. The estate was bought back in the 20th century and the first torpedo factory was created there. It was nationalized in 1937 and remained so until 2001, when DCNS became a private company. This neo-Gothic-style castle is made up of three floors, including a semi-buried one. It has four round towers, two smaller in the north and west corners and two larger ones, one in the south and the other, detached from the castle in the east.

Domaine Bertaud Belieu is located on the Côte d'Azur, in the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula at Gassin in the Var. It covers an area of 65 hectares. Producing 80% rosé wines, the estate is also renowned for the quality of its Côtes de Provence Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) red and white wines. Its exceptional location, on the border between the sandy-limestone Massif des Maures and the sandy-clay Côte Raphaëloise, gives rise to a dozen grape varieties, including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Tibouren, Mourvèdre and Rolle. The plots with the best exposure to the sun are used for red wines, while the more chalky plots, which favour the expression of minerality, are used for white wines.

The site of the chapel is frequented since at least the sixth century BC. It was at the end of the eleventh century the monks of the abbey of St. Victor of Marseille founded a small Romanesque chapel dedicated to Questa Sancte Marie. In 1793, the chapel was seized and sold by the revolutionaries. The Grimaudois bought it and return it to the town who still owns it to this day. Every August 16th, one can see the pilgrimage to the chapel. The statue of Our Lady of the Quest is in the Saint-Michel church in the village. Inside the chapel is: the Assumption altarpiece of the Virgin and the Annunciation dated 1677, three busts reliquaries including that of Saint Lambert, tables of St. Jacques de Compostela and St. Lambert Eloi and the Donation of the Holy Rosary. In 2002, restoration of the facades and roof are made and new windows are created by Ms. Coline Fabre, master glassmaker, a member of an old family grimaudoise. The park is home to the chapel of beautiful trees of at least 200 years and a source associated with the cult of St. Lambert, whose water cures skin diseases and eye.

The Treizain beach is one of the three beaches of Gassin. Located on the road to Saint-Tropez, it offers a friendly relaxation area. This nature beach offers a view of Saint-Tropez in the east, Sainte-Maxime in the north and the whole gulf.

The Bouillabaisse beach welcomes you on the edge with the town of Saint-Tropez. Bouillabaisse beach is a sandy beach. Environmental awareness panels remind us of the fragility of posidonia. On the Saint-Tropez side, the beach benefits from surveillance.

Facing the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Botanical Garden is a real pocket of oxygen! Discover the wealth of plants and Mediterranean plants typical of our region as you wander through the garden's pathways. Come and discover over 60 acclimatised plants, some of which are over a hundred years old such as palm trees. From dwarf palms to Chilean coconut palms, the park offers a thousand subjects of interest for young and old alike!

The chapel of the Minuty estate is a chapel built in the 19th century on the estate, but before the castle. This small building, built in the heart of the vineyards, has a unique romantic charm. The chapel of the Minuty estate was built in 1865, at the request of Zélia Fouque, a widow of Claude Germondy, probably following the death of his son and his husband in the previous years. Located in an enclosure of 300 m², it measures 70 m². "The top of the façade is decorated with a small, polygonal-shaped, bell-shaped medicine, topped with a conical roof. It is surrounded by two pinnacles. The apse has a pole frieze on its upper part. The chapel is a unique nave. [...] In the choir, the marble altar is dressed in 6 chandeliers, a cross and an altar cannon. All the furniture is in perfect condition. The ceiling is decorated with circular medallions representing the symbols of the four evangelists. [...] This is a coherent whole, all of which is dated from the Second Empire."" Dedicated in 1938, the chapel was used regularly until the middle of the 20th century, especially because of the faith of Spanish workers. It has since been used for some family events and at the beginning of the harvest. It is in his honor that the Cuvée of the Oratory was created.

This mill, formerly called "Moulin de la Gardiole" is known since the seventeenth century. It seems to have worked sporadically. In the nineteenth century it belonged to the Aumeran family, then in 1886 the parish priest of Grimaud: Giraud Zechariah. It now belongs to the municipality. In the 1990s, the cross located on the tower was moved, the wings, the roof and the whole mechanism were recreated to revive this monument.
