From the top of the rounded hills of Cuq or Fals, vast views open up over the hillsides of Gascony. Along the river Gers, this trail offers a fresh route along the shady banks of the river. The wings of the Cuq windmill and the fortified Roques water mill will guide you and you can also admire the built heritage that tells the story of the agricultural life of yesteryear: old Gascon houses, estates with beautiful residences flanked by towers, small vineyard huts and dovecotes, will enliven the landscape throughout the walk.

Breaking with the curvaceous Art Nouveau style that flourished at the end of the 19th century, Art Deco was a style that aimed to be modern and functional, and sought to be industrially applicable. Traditional building materials were gradually abandoned in favour of concrete, leaving brick and stone to play a decorative role. Stylized ornamentation and rational, geometric shapes are the hallmarks of Art Deco, which you will discover as you stroll through the streets of Moissac: ironwork, street furniture, frescoes, doors, window embrasures, etc.

From villages to viewpoints, during this walk you will be able to see the valleys of the Gers and the Garonne, the wide horizons of the Brulhois area, from East to West and the hills of Gascony to the South. This tour will make you discover the vineyard huts, built in the commune of Astaffort between 1880 and 1950. They belonged to the inhabitants of the village, shopkeepers, teachers, roadmenders, craftsmen, notables and farmers. When one left for the vineyard, one spent the day and sometimes the night there. The hut served as a shelter and a place to live for the winegrowers and the draught animals, cows or horses, as well as a shed for the tools and equipment specific to this crop. Some were of classical construction, in local stone, others in brick, dry earth or wood, depending on the means or personality of the owner.

On the way out, the route uses roads and panoramic paths overlooking the Garonne valley. The return journey takes place on the old Roman road at the foot of the hillside, out of the water of the Garonne River.

This short but physical circuit offers many views of the hillsides of the Pays de Serres, the Garonne valley and the undulating hillsides of Gascony on the horizon. The chapel of Aureillac deserves attention, even if it can only be seen from the outside.

This long, rugged route will delight mountain bikers and experienced hikers who will be able to discover a portion of the Canal de Garonne greenway, a link between Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées.

Take the Chemin de Vaysseillié slightly to the right. Then, follow the stream and cross the wooden footbridge. 3. Turn immediately right and take the Chemin de Tuc. Follow the path for 700m. 4. Turn left and take Chemin de Piliers for only 140m. 5. At the first crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de Mortarieu. 6. After 220m, there is a small footbridge on the right. For a shorter walk, cross the footbridge. For a longer walk, continue on the Chemin de Mortarieu. 7. After 970m, take the chemin de Noalhac and reach the Canal bridge. 7 (long). Pass the briquette bridge then join the canal by the towpath for 950m. 8. Cross the bridge and join the canal by the towpath on the right. 8 (long). Cross the canal to join the towpath on the right. 9. Go along the canal for 1.25 km. Continue towards the village crossing the canal bridge. 9 (long). Follow this path for 2.125 km to return to the starting point. 10. To continue towards the forest of Agre, continue straight towards the stadium. 10 (long). After 900m, pass under the highway bridge, turn left and follow the path. This structure was built in 1845 and allows the D 308 to cross the Garonne upstream of Agen. It is located between the bridge of Layrac (D 17) and the bridge of Saint Nicolas de la Balerme. This structure consists of two independent spans of 98.70 m each, a pier in the river, a roadway 2.35 m wide, and two sidewalks of 1.15 m. The whole structure is made of wooden decking and is limited to 3.5 tons and 2.90 m in height. It was completely restored from April 2011 to March 2012.
