Built on a plateau overlooking the village of Bardigues, the Château de Lamotte and its outbuildings are the result of a campaign to recompose the estate during the 18th century on the basis of an earlier building.
Entered into the family in 1315 and still preserved since, the castle of Lamotte-Bardigues was profoundly altered under Louis XV. From this golden age of French-style architecture, it has retained its classical character and its noble ordering. You can read the art of living from the Age of Enlightenment, in its authentic period furniture as well as in its majestic English-style park. Today the new generation of owners are committed to extending the last seven centuries of art and history. For the first time, it opens this Historic Monument to visitors and offers you a unique route where great and small history intersect.
