The story of the Godène beer, which has a very typical Pays de Caux name since it is the old name for the milk churn that used to be pulled by donkeys in the Pays de Caux. “We are first and foremost dairy producers, but since our activity is becoming more and more fragile, we wanted to find a new complementary activity and we came up with the idea of trying to produce beer" they told us all together adding "the Godène is light and sweet, just like us, and is produced on our farm in Bennetot.”

Typical Clos Masure (traditional enclosed farmyard) of the Pays de Caux located in Bennetot, Vertot Manor House, along with its dovecote - both listed Historic Monuments - remains one of the most beautiful examples of 16th and 17th century Pays de Caux architecture, largely influenced by the Late Renaissance style that features the flint and pink brick checkerboard pattern and the beautiful mullioned openings. Planted with 25 acres of apple trees, it was the birthplace of the Abbot of Vertot, a chronicler of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, also known as the Order of Malta, author of The History of the Knights of Malta in 1726, a monumental 7-volume account. Dogs must be kept on lead within the grounds.

Laid out over an area of 2,5 ha, these gardens contain 3 500 species and a variety of exotic grasses. 130 bamboos. A visit here makes for a rich and peaceful experience which awakens the five senses.

The museum tells the story of the lord of Grainville-la-Teinturière who undertook, on his own behalf, the conquest of the Canary Island in 1402. The museum also gives visitors a chance to learn about the present day islands with whom the inhabitants of Grainville-la-Teinturière retain a special relationship.

In the strangely charming grounds of Maurice Leblanc's house, Le Clos Lupin has been transformed into a gentleman burglar's lair. At the reception desk, you'll be given the equipment you need to discover a scenographic itinerary with the greatest of thieves. Eight imaginary and magical stages are meticulously interlinked in a turn-of-the-century decor.
