Physically challenging walk starting out from Attignat-Onicn, Lépin or Aiguebelette, with a change in altitude of 800 m and a clear view of the lake and its surrounding area (5 ½ to 6 ½ hrs, depending on the route).

The trail "The valley of Grenand" takes you to the discovery of the river erosion, gorges, giant pots and waterfalls. The small loop is equipped with educational terminals and to discover the work of water.

This loop going up the small valley dug by the Thiers river leads you to the nice stone bridge of Téloncin. Most of the path is in a fresh atmosphere during summer.

With this trail, you will walk from hamlet to hamlet through a chestnut trees wood. Vestiges of an ancient wall, called "Murs des sarazins" (Sarrazins wall), are in the talweg of the small valley between Saint-Béron and La Bridoire.

Have you heard of Saint-Béron itinerary, the "Grand bois" loop? There, you will discover one of the hidden side of an amazing protected countryside. On foot, by bike or riding a horse, you will find signs corresponding to your path. Very nice trek to be enjoyed in any season. The trek on foot is 8.1 km long, about 2.5 hours walk, and the highest point is 350m high. difficulty: easy Mountain bike loop (blue n°2) is 13.2 km long, 1.5 hour ride and the highest point is 490m high difficulty: medium As it partly takes walking trails of Saint Béron, you will enjoy the nice hilly and varied views and paths.

An easy circuit. A first half on a path before crossing the D1006. A way back on the ancient sardinian route, now crossed by a low traffic road.

A countryside loop around the Grand Bois hill. A short circuit with various grounds that remains barely technical but punctuated by a small ascent. Ideal to learn mountain biking.

Located in Lépin-le-Lac, the 3-star Le Curtelet campsite welcomes you on a green plot of land at an altitude of 400 metres, nestled at the gateway to the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park and on the shores of Lake Aiguebelette, which is directly accessible from the site.

In front of the train station, rent all kind of adult bikes (eletric bikes, mountain bikes...), children bikes and trailers. Also: repairs and maintenance, bike delivery and guided tours.

The last witness to La Bridoire's rich hydraulic past, the Bovagnet mill, located in the heart of the hamlet of Rochassieux, is emerging from a long slumber of over 80 years. Operated in its present form between 1836 and 1939, this flour mill is a rare jewel in our region's heritage, with its installations showing its evolution from milling to flour milling. Now owned by the commune of La Bridoire, the site has been restored, safeguarded, animated and promoted by a team of volunteers from the association "À la découverte du passé de La Bridoire et de ses environs", in partnership with the commune. Their aim is to offer tours of the mill and its vernacular heritage at the same pace as the restoration work, to keep the mill "in its natural state", and to secure and organize the various areas for an educational and authentic discovery of how a 19th-century mill works.

Located at the junction of the 2 Guiers Rivers, the Sauget is a nice artificial lake of 1ha. It welcomes an important population of roaches, tenches, carps and some pikes. Accessible for person with reduced mobility thanks to an equipped track, pontoon and a carpark. No Kill fishing for all species except pike (catch of one pike per day) Large numbers of roach and rotengle can be caught using any technique, from a simple rod and reel to a waggler, corn, maggot or worm with a good groundbait. On the lake, the best times are from April to the end of September. Common carp, leather or mirror, can be fished with boilies, corn hairs or all bottom baits. Tench, beautiful and majestic, often wandering along the bottom on hot summer days, can be a thrill to catch in the evening. The perch, a beautiful zebra, is not very abundant in the lake, but it is home to some large specimens: fishing for it with a spoon or lure can provide some pleasant surprises. Pike, also in small numbers as they have never been stocked, are nevertheless present with some fine specimens, and who knows? The chance of a livebait or a lure could give this magnificent fish a superb fight.

This small, family-friendly and peaceful beach is located close to the restaurants, the harbor, and the picnic/barbecue area. It offers a panoramic view of the entire western shore of the lake. It has playgrounds for children and a service for renting lounge chairs and umbrellas. It is adjacent to the water sports rental area, where you can find: 7-seat electric boats (no license required), pedal boats, paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks. There are dining options nearby, with three restaurants (Le Beau Rivage, Les Belles Rives, and La Villa du Lac). Swimming is supervised, and the beach has an entrance fee from June 14 to August 31. Groups are welcome on weekdays, except public holidays, by reservation. Please note that pets and barbecues are prohibited on all beaches of the LAc d'Aiguebelette.

All the beauties of the wild life, geology, and geography of Aiguebelette lake gathered in a lovely human scale museum. Covering geology, history, lake archaeology, fauna, and flora, the museum features a collection of over 75 protected species, allowing visitors to observe in life-size what they can't see in the wild. The tour enables children and grown ups to learn through testing and observation. This museum, built by the F.A.P.L.A (Federation of the Lac d'Aiguebelette protection associations), offers various reconstructed sceneries. Its collection is the product of 30 years of work from a local association. Workshops and shows are organised: you can go on fapla.fr for more information. Free tours are organised during special events. The museum takes part of Nature Day during spring, and of European heritage Days and Science Day during autumn.
